I noticed there's a trend in kdramas where they use "younger" actors for characters in school, then few years…
i guess the only way is to give a blind eye towards those storylines and enjoy the rest... i mostly do that if the other aspects of the story interests me... there are flaw in a lot of my favorite dramas but i tend to ignore those and only concentrate on the aspects that i liked... i tend to drop a drama only if those flaws are way higher than the entire story...

i dont even find half of the people they cast based on looks that good looking... my taste is completely different from korean beauty standards... i think right kdramas dont have much good actors who are in their 20s... i can only name 3-4 actors who are good at acting... the rest are just good looking flower boys...
i guess the best way to enjoy kdramas is to forget reality and watch it without giving much thought on almost all the actions... esp when it comes to light-hearted comedy-dramas... a lot of stuff kdrama shows as comedy is offensive for others but i have noticed that koreans like offensive comedies... the stalker and the entire incident ended with a comedy scene of DJ and her mother hitting the crap out of him inside the police station and police officers giving a blind eye over it...

if the elevator incident was in ep 13 then i didnt watch that episode... i tried multiple times and my net was working very slow... then ep 14 was uploaded and i watched only ep 14... i just saw the highlight scenes of ep 13 on Instagram and when i saw ep 14 i didnt feel like i missed a lot... the thing with aggressive behaviors and stalking in kdrama is that its seriousness depends on the genre of the show... if it was a crime thriller or a much darker genre then they would give more insight to those incidents else these are used just as plot device... the after math of these actions dont hold any importance in rom-com light hearted dramas... i was surprised when i saw ja sung's real age... out of the actors i feel both the guys who are interested in siah are the weekest... they both have a single expression and thats one of the main reasons why i am not interested in both of her love interests...

i guess stalker incident was for siah to be more acceptable of young DY... before that she only considered him to be her brother's friend and found him quite annoying... DY gained more trust from siah and his family... i dont think jihoo's niece had any big story-line going on from the start... she was just a plot device for jihoo to fall in love with DJ more... in the coming episodes they will show DY's connection to JH's brother's accident so may be they will show her again... DY's school teacher and DY's friend are following the exact same story as in the movies... they are just there for comic relief just like in the movies... they dont contribute much to the main story even in the movie... the only problem is DY's friend and DJ's friend are a better comic duo... the teacher is simply stretching it unnecessarily giving lame reasons to reject DY's friends... i personally prefer the lawyer and DY's friend together... i cannot remember the elevator assault? what scene was that? i feel they should have given more time for ja sung to fall for siah... everything was out of the blue and the next thing is he is proposing her... he barely had 3-4 scenes with her and in the first 2 he was badmouthing her... his character overall is unnecessary and the show will do fine without any romantic line for siah... i personally dont like ja sung or her childhood friend... they could have used their screentime to develope siwoo more...

almost all bad guy turned good wont have a good ending in kdramas.. they are big on karma thing... even though lee rang changes himself all the sins he did wont wash away... in these 600yrs he has killed 100s of people and at times just for fun... no matter what he went through and how much tormented he was on the inside wont justify him killing innocent people... also all the people the imoogi killed, he is indirectly involved in it as well...
as an Indian its totally different for me... i kind of get it as india is also quite a conservative society like korea....
First time I see a young actor outperforming a veteran, Lee Do Hyun is really talented.
For me he outshined the lead of hotel del luna with his role of 1-2hours throught out the entire drama... I wanted to see him in a lead role since hdl... The movie adaptations and him being the lead is the reason why I wanted to give this a try...

Except for jiah, I have doubt about the survival of every single characters in the show till the end including the vet and yuri... i think Lee rang has the least chance to survive till the end considering my experiance with kdramas... Even with jiah it's 80-20... I am mentally prepared for the ending of this drama...

today's episode was also really good... i liked lee yeon's self-confidence and sassiness when he deals with the bad guys... LDW looks really cool in those scenes... i hope lee rang has a plan and dont act impulsively in the next episode... he looks so lost and depressed throughout the episode... i liked the flashback scenes of jiah and her colleagues and their bond in the previous life... after hearing the slave deal shin joo made with the gatekeeper i am now worried for him as well... he kept saying he has a long life and he will become a slave only after his death... shin joo and yuri are cute together and they are going faster than the leads...
the scenes b/w lee yeon and yuri were hilarious... she was intimidated by him but acted all cool and as if she can kill him right then and there even though she knows she cant...

i also loved him in HDL and ugly cried in almost all his scenes... he deserved better in that show... he hardly had 1-2 hour screentime in the entire drama but, for me, he stole the thunder from the male lead... i hope he gets more good projects as male lead... kdrama nowadays has very less good actors in their 20s...

ya siwoo has very little screen time... they gave a detailed backstory for both the leads which is very important to understand both sides of the story... the drama has characters that need more screen time but there isnt any storyline that they showed i dont want to watch... i guess the show should have been 20 episodes instead of 16... then they could have given charatcers like siwoon and ji hoon more screen time... i also wanted to see more of young DY and DJ... they have the best chemistry in the show...
