Felt the same way as you in episode 8, even though I saw the punchline coming.
Yes, they got me wondering for a moment whether the punchline was coming or not, so I got teary haha. Very slice-of-life animesque vibe kind of drama. The addition of 'non fiction' vs 'SF' characters that keep popping up and the expanding cast just adds to the ridiculousness of it (in a good way), especially in the last episode. The multiple 'twists' at the end LOL. I did get annoyed at some of the characters throughout the series, but it was a fun watch and was fun to see a couple of familiar faces. They did a really good job and the ending left me with a smile.
This seems to take place in a different timeline than in "Blossom" as the events between the main leads are different than in the main serie and the end is different too.
Jiseul, meaning "potato" in Jejueo, is a well chosen title for this film, because that's a symbol for hope and survival. It helps if you know a bit of Korean history, even if you aren't familiar with this particular event (which was illegal to talk about for almost 50 years), to understand certain details in this film better.
Ep 312 was really funny ππ. There were so many highlights in that episode and was impressed with both the staff and the members in the final game π.

You were referring to the first episodes, hence the first part. I misunderstood you then. The common trope part was referring to the writing style / writers, not you. Sorry that it came across that way.

Of course she would call her when the situation just happened. She probably still calls or texts her sister, but she wouldn't actively go looking for her while the loan sharks were still after her (which is what my comment referred to) and would need to get in contact with her sister to be able to find her after the situation got resolved.
It's a common trope in and outside of K-media for people to go MIA / 'become dead to the world' when they have high interest debts. That context might be less clear to an international audience.
In any case, feel free to disagree. I understand why it might've irritated you. Hopefully the writers conclude what happens to the sister in the final episodes.
By the way does anybody know where Da Rim's sister is?By the time Ji Hyeok and Da Rim get married, she'll still…
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into hiding when there are loansharks after them (in S. Korea). You don't want them to find you, so you don't contact your family in case they are watching them.
The sister doesn't know the debt has been paid, so she's staying underground for now. (FL and mom probably understand that this is what they are doing, so they aren't majorly concerned. She might have seen her sister on tv/stream, so it wouldn't surprise me if she pops up at the last moment in the show or if she's too afraid/embarrassed to show her face around her family for now.)
please tell me im not the only one who thought "oh he should really go to the hospital to get checked for…
Not the only one. I kept thinking it too and had to stop myself by thinking: "the writers are not going for realism here..." π.
It's cool that Da rim could carry him though. She must have seen that video on 'how to carry your husband in case of a fire' / the firemen demo of how to carry someone ππ.

Knew the writers would insert a few more tropes, but they really stuffed all of them in there...
