this is seriously so good it's insane... craziest premise too ....
ok she's got a crush on him now, so maybe she'll start to love math 🤷♀️ he might start seeing himself begin to show up more as a main character and clock it
either way this would be so much funnier if it suddenly turns out later that he's like her cousin or something because in the first episodes it seems like he knew her already by name... so that's probably going to come up
no what was that fighting ahah it was so funny. I know I said before it was like the feeling came out of nowhere, but I think these two episodes helped with creating that bridge. I just dont know how theyre going to fit so much in the last two episodes....
I really doubt the romance tag is for the leads, that's probably for the BL side of the show...The leads are coming off more like brother and sister I think. But who knows.
The "sub" character convo was the best thing so far about this show
Soonrok is a robot 😭we don’t have time for this!! we only got 4 episodes left
I know! At least the actor is doing well. I think despite his character being sort of bland on the outside he's able to portray subtle expressions and awkwardness. I think the main issue is the writing. It feels like we're not getting enough of his inner world and we're halfway.
I don't know why but Yumi's giving me an ick right now lmao ... girl lock in I'm second hand embarrassment. I wish she wouldn't be so "cutesy" and shy now that she likes him because now both of them are just acting timid and it's just brief exchanges for the most part. I know we're starting to get a little bit of his POV but it still doesn't feel like he wants her or likes her so when she's being forward or becomes BOLD I'm just like "no! what are you doing!!" ... This needs more than 8 episodes too!!
Her liking him feels like it's out of nowhere. Just a "few days" ago she was annoyed and hating on him and then suddenly developed attraction ... and now she's gone 180 asking him to watch a movie together lol it makes sense why his expression was so shocked. I'd be confused too if someone flipped the switch a week later and is suddenly being super nice to me.
He ofc is showing a little jealousy bc of the baseball writer, but again all of this is out of nowhere?!
I think this drama is going to stay underrated, as it has gone under the shadow of "Would you marry me?"…
underrated or not tbh it's doing very well viewership wise! It's also never boring or at least not to me. I see people complaining about the endless obstacles... but I mean it makes sense given that they're in an IMF crisis and the CEO has never worked a day in his life prior to his father's passing. And even if he was a seasoned businessman, failure after failure is very much a part of every journey. I think it's so interesting to watch them struggle and fail and then find silver linings in the little things. If there weren't so many obstacles THEN it would get boring. I really enjoy the dynamics between each character too, like everyone has each others back or eventually comes to that point. It's so heartwarming
Nammo was so blunt with him! Why do you chew gum? ohh just dig him a grave.
I also wish miseon would give in a little!! But at the same time I understand her. She's not only a hard worker, she's an eldest daughter who basically has been running her household and raising her younger siblings. TP is a little immature and seems like a playboy, so it makes sense as to why she guards her heart a little bit with him. She's also very independent, and based on the preview I think she says something like I don't want to be dependent on you emotionally. I think that's such a mature and nuanced thing to touch upon especially in drama. We've seen that she lacks confidence in herself, so she needs to find herself before she can be with someone else or else you end up being codependent on each other and that's suffocating and not healthy. The same thing for TP. He depends a lot on miseon and others because he's also not confident in being a CEO. They need some more time to grow into their new positions in life as individuals before they start a relationship.
this drama makes me feel like im trying to do mental gymnastics. I understand the plot and everything and why she's upset. I mean he's definitely messed up for what he did, and I think anyone would be distraught to find out that their best friend was dead and their twin covered for them. Actually that's a little morbid. I also understand his character. However, I don't know... While I can understand them both ...they both piss me off .... like can she just calm a little .... you can dislike someone and what they did to do without being over the top childish...and he's like ehhh oddly cocky? idk I'm gonna wait till all the episodes are out I guess
I know Mi-seon is very much aware TP likes her genuinely, and she obviously likes him too. I think it's more so that she for one lacks confidence in herself which was very apparent in the 7th and 8th episode. She doesn't seem to think that he would ever really like her when he could get someone else. I think she's such a well written character because she's so real. I like that every character is going through their own personal journey in a way that isn't very in your face as to take away from the main plot, but naturally unfolding little by little. I hope tomorrow she can understand how much she means to him lol
Yeah, problem is nobody can take a character having flaws, which is where this falls under for me. Nobody is going…
yessss thank you. I wouldn't even want to watch a drama where the character was devoid from flaws, it'd just be a complete turn off cuz you can relate to that. People watch shows and grow fondness for characters because they carry qualities of ourselves or those around us, so it creates a sense of familiarity.
the scene where taepoong confesses to her, like right before he does it I was thinking like omg she looks so so…
Aha I knoww .... ugh and she's a very good actress...Pachinko more than proved that. They just had LJH sing but I hope they have her sing too ! she's literally a triple threat
I think if taepoong does stand up for her, which he sorta did, it backfires immediately ..so no matter what he…
oh yeah for sure lol I wasn't disagreeing with you ....def majin is gonna see she's an asset... I mean she learned enough Thai to get them through at the station too
I agree and exactly what I was thinking while watching too. But then I saw some other people chiming in here,…
I mean it's just a drama lol so can only blame the writer ... also no one in real life is constantly upstanding... sometimes we're quick to stand up for others and other times we're hesitant. Doesn't mean our views changed, it's just that different situations require different reactions. He also does stand up for her, maybe not in the way you're hoping, but also need to recognize Korea or Asia in general is very "respect elders" even when their wrong, so he can't just scream at someone older and more experienced. They need majin too, bc they can't keep relying on the Pusan lady. And every character has flaws because theyre based on people. We don't always do the right things or say the right stuff so it'd be crazy to write that on paper bc that doesn't exist. Oh but you're right to point it out tho. I also had the exact same thoughts and lowkey an annoyance that he wasn't speaking up when he usually is very vocal.
Why taepoong recruit this motherfucker again to his company? Wtf i hate this guy , he's not capable at anything…
I think they need someone experienced on their team. I mean the last sales only really went through because they had help of someone who was connected and already successful.
Lmao. I knew ppl would crash out here on Majin being sexist and call Tae Pung not a green flag for not helping…
I think if taepoong does stand up for her, which he sorta did, it backfires immediately ..so no matter what he says or does I don't think it'll make a difference in how Majin would treat her. If anything I think it's also a necessary character plot bc this stuff even now exists in the workplace, sometimes subtly and other not so much. I don't think she NEEDs to prove herself to majin or anyone, but herself. She's insecure and it's understandable why her character is insecure too, and sometimes you need a little push to find yourself and build confidence.
Kim Min Ha is so ethereal, I can't belive how pretty she is. She talks pretty, she smiles pretty, she laughs pretty,…
the scene where taepoong confesses to her, like right before he does it I was thinking like omg she looks so so pretty even while she's a little disheveled and then he says the exact thing lol! but truly she's so unique and freaking pretty ... like a lot of the female actresses get a ton of work done and it becomes uncanny watching them on screen. It's so refreshing to see someone who looks real and animated with facial expressions on screen. It makes her shine that much more
Kdrama fans love men too much that they don't even want to accept their male leads can be enablers of misogyny…
I agree and exactly what I was thinking while watching too. But then I saw some other people chiming in here, and they were like there's an added nuance given that the culture is very "respect your elders" so I guess he can't really fight majin on it as much ... he also needs Majin on board bc he's a seasoned trader and knows more than both him and Miseon ...but then again that mf bribed the guard so really what does he know lol
ok she's got a crush on him now, so maybe she'll start to love math 🤷♀️ he might start seeing himself begin to show up more as a main character and clock it
either way this would be so much funnier if it suddenly turns out later that he's like her cousin or something because in the first episodes it seems like he knew her already by name... so that's probably going to come up
