As an avid fan of Chinese bl novels, the rumors can only be dubnked if the author appears. Last time a Chinese bl writer(深海先生) was also in the same situation. Her friend said she was alright and that's a boring rumor. However, it turned out that it's her family that told her friend to help them play down the rumor in order not to make thing worse for the author and she did really stay in the prison for a year.

As for the author of the original The Untamed, the contract of her manfua version of her latest novel was already signed before April. So saying her new wrok will soon be out doesn't mean anything.

For me, HIStory2 & 3 are definitely the best when it comes to the stories among all the Asian BL dramas, including the most popular ones from Thai. Thai ones still fall into cliche bisexual struggles and fanservive scenes that cater to BL fans' taste, which is such a downer for the new era of BL in 2019. I still can't imagine any other country produce something mature and heartwarming like HIStory did.

What you mostly mentioned can be found in other Asian dramas too, especially Thai dramas.

Their relationship is not even toxic when you compare them with the characters in Dark Blue & Moonlight , which was awfully hated by many bl fans. Though this show doesn't suit my taste, at least this one still caters to bl fans in some sense.

It looks like a funny drama. Many familiar Taiwanese actors and Chris Wu is also in this. I'm still extremely impressed with the main lead's acting in Dear Ex. She's an amazing actress.
