I haven't watched this, but I've heard that they changed the main couple from BL to male and female. As in one of the male characters from the novel is female in this series. I'm also trying to decide if I should watch this, but I'm usually not interested in this historical/republican era.

So far (ep 8) there's very little romance. The guy develops a crush on the cop girl but no further development so far. I think there might be romance in the later episodes.

Yes it took 74 episodes but finally Su Ji has a heart.

I know. They should at least catch one of the bad guys like Jiang Biehe. I don't think there is a single villain that has been dealt with properly so far.

It's amazing. I felt the same way after watching the trailer, so I was debating whether I should watch it or not. I'm so glad I gave it a try today. It's one of the best dramas that are on air right now.

I still like joon hwi more. Kang shi wol is adorable but I'm not one to go for the tough boy act.

I just watch the scenes with Tutor and Fighter. That way I don't have to get annoyed with the many different storylines.

I skip his scenes. I'm waiting until his character changes in some way (like finds out the truth) and then I'll resume watching his scenes.

I love it. But the previews are misleading, they have clips that are from different episodes not just the following one.

I think he was nicer to Dr. Seo because he knew that Dr. Seo was refusing to treat a patient due to his past trauma. He probably understood that even if he shouted, it wouldn't help someone get over their trauma. If Dr. Seo had refused to treat a patient just because he didn't like their actions then I think Master Kim would have been harsher..

ugh why did I read this spoiler. I've already watched 4 episodes and planned to continue watching it. But after reading your comment, I'm wondering if I should continue. I can't handle tragedies. Can you tell me how the 2005 version ended?

I read the novel and found Arthur Chen's portrayal accurate. Even in the novel, I was surprised that the author put Sangsang and Ninq que together because in the beginning chapters it clearly showed a platonic relationship with a love interest for another girl.

I read the book and I didn't understand the chemistry between Sangsang and Ning Que. It felt off somehow as I was reading the chapters. So for me, it doesn't matter if they change actors for the show, I still won't understand that relationship.

Ugh I don't like Kang Yeo Won's character. She is so weak. I mean come on, she's a mother who should be a little stronger and able to stand up for herself. Even at the parts where she argues with Su ji, it seems so out of place with her character. It's like the writers added those parts to make her seem stronger but it's not working because they already wrote her up as one of the weakest female leads I've seen.
