That's it, I decided, I will consume gifs instead of full episodes, I can't stand these cliches and characterizations. It feels like they don't have content for full 70 minutes.
I'm so tired of cold-hearted lead (w/ traumatic past) x hard-working, yet naive heroine troupe Like, I came here for JR, to support his first drama! but damn I'm not invested in the main couple, it doesn't feel like they have chemistry either? It's first episode, but eh, at least it's only 12 episodes
Idol actor 🤷🏻♂️ thankfully he isnt too bad, they don't keep him on-screen enough to make it noticeable.
Good to know, truth be told, from lil clips I saw, it feels like he is more acting like himself;; I hope lack of screen-time isn't because of his actin;;;
honestly i even thought the story was a bit too close to that kdrama but the manga actually came out a bit earlier…
I didn't have specific k-drama in mind tbh, it's just that main male lead wouldn't look out of place in k-drama. Plus he a bit reminds me of Gong Yoo or Kim Dong Wook (or maybe some other k-drama actor, not sure; )
Regarding the script, the "marriage for convenience" or "accidental marriage" is rather common troupe in josei as well as j-dramas, one of the more notable examples - Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu (it was widely popular in Japan and it's really good j-drama, I almost skipped because main lead wasn't attractive, but he grew on me over the episodes)
This J-drama has quite K-drama feels, perhaps because our main lead fits the k-beauty standards and is more reserved in his acting. I suppose the troupe is more common also cold male lead and more clumsy female lead...
So I suppose these one is recommended to k-drama watchers ♥
Mediocre first half, It was already a bad idea to release it at the same time as the anime, which is better by…
Anime fans tend to be bias against J-Dramas, but if I'm being honest j-dramas are more fit to portray human stories about awkward characters, because it makes them more human... meanwhile in anime they become caricatures of sort;;
The characters want to be listened to and heard, thus their "healing" comes in a form of being heard and not necessarily fixing their problem, but speaking about it and sharing that - yes, they are struggling with it even if they told that "it's fine". I tried to explain it, because it felt like some comments missed the point;
Totally didn't get it. (°o°)"it's not" kind of drama: it's not food porn, it's not feel good, it's not slice…
It's slice of life about stories and struggles of everyday people, for me it was relatable especially when these days I have lots of work and stress; stories like these don't need closure, because we are getting only a moment of person's life; I enjoy such j-dramas, but I guess it's not for everyone
I adore this troupe too! I think Nobuta wo Produce would also fit 'found family' troupe, because main leads not only form friendship, but support system between themselves ♥
Truth be told, the villains in dramas are the best part in dramas (either ex-girlfriend or serial killer), because they drive plot forward, so I started to enjoy the 'bitchy' characters in recent years - because they bring some spice ♥
