People who are here looking for groundbreaking plot etc, this is simply not the show for you. This is for me and a lot of others who want a solid show with tons of fluff, cuteness, humor, heart and pretty sets and very pretty people and very good acting. This might not be what you're in the mood for or what your cup of tea is and that's fine! Just don't say it's a bad show just for not being your type and understand that different people have different preferences and let us enjoy what we like

I adore Ding Yuxi's acting. I love how adorable he makes his characters without taking away anything from the character. His eye acting is so perfect and I'm loving the cuteness overdose from his chemistry with Shuxin. I've been super excited for this project since it's announcement bc of my girl Shuxin and bc I adore Ding Yuxi's characters always. Just finished Moonlight a few days ago while waiting for it and that just made my expectations higher, and this did not disappoint! Shuxin is very good at choosing projects ( everyone please watch Romance of a Little Forest it's one of her best and super underrated) so I knew story wise I won't be disappointed. ANYWAYS I can't wait for full on romance to start already!!

I think it's just not your type of drama, and that's okay! But I'm someone who skips and speeds up a lot even in my favorite dramas but here I haven't done that once in the 10 eps I watched bc it was so fun

This drama has done a rare thing- improved ! I really enjoyed the last episode. Idk if it was because of the chemistry or mudmee being cute or the lack of strange noises but somehow it was so much better than the previous episodes. Editing team, keep it up!

As a fan of both Gemini and Fourth as actors and someone who loved the japanese version, I must say this series could have been a lot better. The directing is bad, the cuts are weird and the sounds don't match or are overboard. Fourth and Gemini's popularity is saving it from tanking. As someone who loved fourth's acting in MSP and Moonlight Chicken where he did such amazing jobs, I have to say I was confused why his acting here was like this. Then I watched the behind the scenes and saw the director was directing it to be like this... I hope he doesn't do cute roles like this anymore, he's very cute as a person but acts emotional or intense scenes better. Also this is the third time he's casted as a academic failure. Actors need diverse roles to grow but the company doesn't care, or maybe this had a musical scene so they casted gemini and fourth. Idk I think atom played by gemini and kongthap played by fourth would have been better casting, gemini is good at comedic roles like how he played tinn in Our Skyy. Might be because he actually is like that irl?
Sorry I dislike the emperor ending compared to the book, I don't mind any other changes but this one was kind of lame. Also Hua Rong was Hua Zhi's own sister and not cousins right? Poor babie, they shouldn't have let this happen to her. Such a lovely, spirited girl. Cdramas never forget their formulas of making the end few unnecessarily sad and weird compared to the rest of the story. Honestly I might be biased bc Hua Rong became my favourite character in the drama as soon as she started talking about her dreamy romance and she was just a dimpled girl who dreamed and ugh. At least the Emperor died. Disappointing that Yanxi would have protected that cockroach till the end, but he was interesting as a character and the actor did a tremendous job
I'm a cute Xu Kai enjoyer and a HUGE cute shuxin adorer. I was over the moon to hear they are in the same drama, and they did not disappoint. Their chemistry is on fire. They're like the cutest cdrama pair ever and so so lovely together ( Maybe XuKai-TainXiwei and YuShuxin-DingWuxi upcoming pairs will come close bc Tian Xiwei and Ding Yuxi are also great at cute roles) The plot so far is not bad, so I hope ppl will give it a chance.
In Youth With You, Shuxin got a lot of hate for acting too cute and what not and still debuted 2nd, and I saw in real time how most of her haters converted into becoming Shuxin lovers in real time. Let me talk about how I first saw Shuxin. I'm a big Wu Qian fan, and was watching one of her dramas called My Amazing Boyfriend. Later I saw there was a season 2 and was super happy, only to see the lead actors changed. I was pissed. I continued watching, but kept thinking to myself the new actress didn't look as pretty, didn't act as well, but before I knew it I had watched the whole thing and grudgingly adopted her as a new daughter in my heart. There's something about her acting that's addictive, and she whichever roles she takes she brings to life. She was great as XiaoLanhua and AMAZING as Yu Meiren (Everyone watch Romance of a Little Forest right now) and she's absolutely prefectly adorable and precious as Yue Qi. All I hope for this drama are that my two babies are happy and together in the end of it.
I first met Xu Kai in The Legends with Bai Lu, and later binged She and Her Perfect Husband for him. He has such a charming smile and his eye acting is mesmerizing whether he looks fond, or sad, or angry. I personally am more of a Yue JinZhao enjoyer bc I LOVE Xu Kai with hair down. Personally I think while he's handsome with all forehead showing he's a thousand times more handsome with some bangs down, I feel like it accentuates his expressions even more.
I feel so sad for Jinzhao but especially for Qi in the end of ep 14. In all her memory, no matter what Jinzhao has always been on her side and she never regards them seperately. (Especially since we viewers know it's a made up thing) Jinzhao doubting their feelings and actually wanting to be away from her would probably break her heart TT
