I've never seen such enthusiasm for a drama here before, maybe apart from The Untamed,(and we've exceeded them a long time ago!) and I've only seen people speak positively about this drama. And today, I've seen quite a few new people come here to express their feelings towards this drama and it just makes me so happy there's at least one place that gives TLB the appreciation it deserves. Tencent need to take notes but they couldn't care less about us international viewers!

Does anyone here know where I can find decent English subtitles? On YouTube the translation stops midway through the series and for later episodes on other sites, the series is auto-translated. It would be such a great shame if I'm not able to complete this absolute MASTERPIECE of a drama.

Sun Tegin's gaze is SOMETHINGG else. I completely understand why Changge looked so shy whenever he looked at her. I would probably melt if he ever looked at me like that! Especially that scene of them on top of the tree when talking about the three promises, he looked like he was undressing her with his eyes, I had to look away! As long as there is strong, undeniable chemistry there, I don't even mind if there isn't even a proper love confession let alone a kiss.

I made this account as soon as I finished watching TLB to participate in the conversation but I had been reading comments for a lot longer than that, even before the drama began airing! You guys would say everything I wanted to say anyway so I didn't feel like I had anything to add. I made a couple of comments fangirling about HaoYan and Yuning a bit about 10,000 comments ago but they are probably one of the many fallen comments from the Great Comment Purge! (RIP)

I feel like because most of China still see Leo as this child actor so the gap feels larger. I don't know if you can make the same argument for Wang Yibo. As for the animation scenes, TLB was being filmed during the height of the pandemic, not much can be done about that. I thought it was very creative and I liked it for the most part (not so sure about Changge's mask dance though)
Historical dramas don't typically have intense kissing scenes anyway, some don't have any at all! I feel like the chemistry between the leads more than made up for it.

Think the Chinese were more bothered about the historical inaccuracy and large age gaps between the leads than we were. Hence the relatively lower viewing figures.

Yes, I remember that form going around here a while ago but so little has changed since then. I heard that they're going to see the response in Taiwan before airing it around the world. I've not heard anything about it being on Netflix USA but we've not had anything here in the UK. I wish they could just air it on Chinese television as well like they did for Untamed and Word of Honor; that should definitely get viewing figures up.

I don't know if this is just me but why do I feel like this drama is not gaining nearly as much attention in China as it deserves? For example, I feel like it deserves wayyyy more than 3.26B views on Tencent. Also, they need to put this drama on international Netflix ASAPPP.
