Mac is not a child, He is 16 years old and is acting. Thailand's law of consent is the same as many countries…
You're gross. I'll start with that. Children are children. When you start pushing the line, because "oh hes mature for his age" or "oh hes close enough" you step into dangerous, gross territory. This should not need to be explained to you unless you are a child yourself. If you aren't, thats extremely concerning.

A child should not be placed in sexual situations with an adult. Acting or no, a child should not be in a place that would require them to make out with an adult or simulate sex with an adult. Again, this should not need to be explained to you, but since morality and child safety are beyond you, I'll try this once.

Children, even children close to maturity understand a lot and may not be "innocent" sure, but that is not the point nor does it matter. What children do between themselves (read: WITH OTHER CHILDREN THEIR AGE, CONSENUALLY) is not my business. When a child is casted to play an innately sexual role with an adult, that is a problem. There's a reason statutory rape is illegal.

Whats truly wild is how yall are willing to change the definition of child to suit yourselves for your own interests. If a fifteen year old is casted (which he most likely was when this was filmed) is that also fine? If thats fine, why not push further, theyre mature arent they? Isnt it fine to cast a 14 year old in a role like this? The age of consent is fucking eleven in some countries, what does it matter if we're going by your bereft moral code?

An adult role should be played by adults or a heavily moderated version should be played by two young actors of similar age. To place a sixteen year old in a position like this is to jeopardize their safety. We dont even know if theres an intimacy coordinator on set. And EVEN IF THERE WAS, we dont know how this will effect a young person, because no set is some clean, perfect area where nothing goes wrong and no one is hurt. I'm being a thorough as I can because I'm aware you cannot fathom not being able to see boys kiss because other people give a shit about the actors before they care about BL. I will not respond to you again because I expect it will be much like the previous commenter: a dense, dense, DENSE brickwall.

A sixteen year old is a child. A seventeen year old is a child. Frankly, an eighteen year old is too, but in the eyes of the law where I live (unlike thailand) that is when they are free to engage in sexual behavior with other adults. If we're going by the standards of where this is filmed, they are children until they are twenty which, frankly, makes more sense. I've been nicer than I needed to be considering your own comment, so I'll stop here before that changes.

Bro if youre weird just say that and leave me be, how does repeating incorrect info
3 times in one comment change anything? If you not only cant see what's creepy but are willing to fight to say a 16 year old should be acting out a sexual story with a grown ass adult, you're a lost cause. And still wrong. And really close to the kind of weirdos who memorize what the age of consent is everywhere.

Speaking with you has felt a bit like banging my head on a particularly dense brickwall, so this is the last response youre getting.

The age of consent (which is between minors, not a minor and an adult) is not the age of maturity. Furthermore, the age of maturity in Thailand is 20, not 18, and definitely not 16. He's a child.

A sixteen year old is a child in literally every single nation on the planet. I'll reiterate again : BL fangirls allergy to morality provided they can watch boys kiss is scary.

I started watching for MosBank but Im really only continuing for SamYotha. Series isnt bad, just kinda empty, and I find myself just waiting for Sam and Yotha to interact more then fast forwarding through everything else lol. Im normally not susceptible to second lead syndrome but theyre cute af

And their tension is way less contrived to me. Sun and Lin feel awkward a bit?? And the progression (as well as the lack of progression) in their relationship seems..... welp, I dont have the right word but its not smooth? Its noticeable? Jarring??? Idk bro i hope this makes sense. When Sam and Yotha are around each other, I am watching, not thinking. With Sun and Lin, its more the opposite.

The show hasnt been hitting for me but I'm still watching (for now) because I liked Gemini and Fourth in MSP and Moonlight Chicken, so I know they can act and hope that they can save it. Whats more frustrating is that you cant so much as discuss its shortcomings without diehard fangirls frothing at the mouth that anyone has anything but a positive opinion. Its a forum and all shows deserve criticism— nothings perfect.

Furthermore, the rating seems artificially high, especially since Ive seen several posts of Gemini Fourth fans banding together to bump the rating and views. I dont think its awful, but the rating doesnt match the quality of what's been released so far. Seeing such a high rating probably contributes heavily to why people are complaining. It gets hopes up for no reason. MSP is pretty widely accepted as a great BL and it's rating is only 0.1 above this show. That gives people expectations that this show is not meeting.

This comment section is sus af. It always amazes me how easily some fangirls are willing to abandon anything that looks remotely like one single moral if it means they can watch two men kiss.

Or, one man and one child eleven years his junior kiss.

Peak makes me so so so so so annoyed. I love every character (except Max ofc) but Peak finds every single one of my nerves and dances a fucking samba on them. I understand Thanwa's reluctance to speak openly because PEAK IS ENGAGED. Engaged like even we, the veiwers, don't really know wtf is going on there, engaged. Peak tells Thanwa he likes him, he can get that out of his mouth apparently, but not that the engagement is (most likely) a farce or something pushed by their parents. Forget missing balls, he doesnt even have a spine.

Its so frustrating and even though I still like the character (which i guess means he's written very well so theres that) I'm always struck dumb by how *weak* he is. Lillylivered. Soft. Pitiful. Loser. Idk theres no perfect word that fits but Im gonna be so relieved when he f i n a l l y takes some initiative without letting it fizzle into misunderstanding.

I understood him better at first as a fellow overthinker but my tendency to yap compared to his tendency to stfu quickly killed the feeling of comraderie. I'm so torn because every one of the main characters is my favorite character (+Lukpeach) and Ive never had a favorite character give me heartburn like this.

But anyway, Lukpeach is a peach. An absolute gem. I get really sick and tired of female characters in BL because its always Villain or Loudly-Squealing-Fangirl with the only in-between being the Fairy Gaymother trope; but shes a whole person 🥹. A female character in a BL that is actually a character instead of a caricature? Without her having to be attached to another female caricature to justify her existence? Its a beautiful thing.
