Lmao I would hope not or Id tell you to watch a LOT more things. I hadnt realized there were two episodes available and, after watching ep 2, im somewhat less optimistic about how good this could get 💀 havent seen love is more than a word but ill put it on my ever-growing watchlist

I dont diagree, but I will say I think thats down to the episode count. This type of drama isnt meant to be short but BL is almost never long enough to prioritize story over forcing the pairing together. Definitely could've been done more smoothly, but after an episode of expositing, I assumed they only had 12 eps to fit what should be a 20 ep series.

I had panic disorder (now just GAD) and nothing about how cha behaved looked remotely close to something that would prompt any of the reactions HY or GT had.

The claustrophobia thing is really cracking me up because theyre treating it like a fatal illness 😂 no panic, just passes out immediately and hai yuan is like "are you tring to kill him?" Im trying to figure out what exactly they could have searched up to make them treat claustrophobia like epilepsy or something

I thought this was kinda bad from the jump, but it has managed to deteriorate over the course of the episodes so far. I plan to finish it because not much is airing right now

Does every comment have to be positive? This isnt even a hate comment, theyre just talking about their own thoughts about the show so far— the points made are valid, not just random negativity. If the every viewer thinks the same thing, what is the point of coming to a discussion forum to discuss? It makes it so unfun to watch a show when no one can handle opinions that dont match theirs.

Pretty accurate lol, but it weirdly has not been a difficult watch, so theres that. I dont see how Hua Yong comes back from these kind of lies, Im pretty sure however it happens wont feel fully resolved so I'm bracing for that. I actually like (and dislike at the same time? Idk lol) his character, he's fun despite being morally bereft. I really dont like his relationship because of the lying though, hard agree on the rape lie.

Gao Tu is definitely the favorite character, though the repeated "should i do the thing, nah lets get shouted at then wait again" scene every time he shows up is getting tiring. I kind of agree on the secondary couple part? I definitely am more invested in them than the main couple, but in reality I dont think a show with them would feel less drawn out since even when theyre barely appearing, theyre just repeating the same conflict v(￣ー￣)v im just waiting for when everyone quits with the lying

Idk I heavily prefer HillEaster to JohanNorth. Nothing about emotional constipation, tsundere vibes, and mixed signals appeals to me. Johan is an adult. Easter's shipping is a bit irritating as there is......nothing to go on? At all??? And it feels like he's being more of a shipper than a friend which reaaaallly irks me considering how good a friend North was for Easter's issues. But Johan is entirely unlikeable to me. Waiting for ArthitDaotok. And dear god it better be sweet.

For real, I was shocked by the amount of negativity for the first couple. I quite liked that the entire story wasnt immediately handed to me (through 6 episodes without the rest of the explanation is a bit excessive for a series with four pairings) and Ive enjoyed Earth as an actor since My Only 12%. HillTer dont really seem any less compelling than fluffy pairings in other BLs that received much better reception (despite being worse, imo). Generally though, I do frequently see BL fangirls holding openly gay actors to different standards, even if they dont acknowledge it. Earth gets a lot of hate for his voice alone, which is....... an interesting thing to hate on someone for. I think he's played his role as Easter quite well. The character feels like a human instead of a caricature.

I usually think episode one sucks for everything but this was an absolute delight to watch from start to finish. Suuuper excited for next week

Thank you for this comment. Ive been trying to decide if this is worth a watch (and will probably try it) but love mechanics let me down so bad that I am hesitant to trust reviews/ratings on YinWar shows. I like them but people go feral for them and sense goes out the window

Being less harsh, I'll still watch season 2. I can appreciate good story building, but this felt....disappointing really is the only word for it. Season 2 needs to take awhile because, were it to come out tomorrow, I'd have to force myself to watch, I need time to feel less slighted I guess.

Especially because season 2's so rarely actually happen with BL that I'm concerned that might be the ending I'm get stuck with. Idk just unsatisfied. I had been saying that this didnt really feel like BL up to episode 9 or 10, and then I was saying I dont think they can get to a satisfactory conclusion in 2 to 3 episodes and hey, wouldnt you know it, I was unfortunately correct.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. I woke up at 4am for this???

I just went to read the comments on the page since idk what the scene actually was like and hoo whee everyone is roasting the series. It's kind of been a running joke for years that Addicted is cursed so fake/cut kisses actually feel par for the course tbh
