ep 7 eng sub clips of SBS raw version omitted from the 'international' version https://mobile.twitter.com/4seasonswithIU/status/775904318469832704/video/1
Did she end up with the 4th or 8th prince in the original?
She loves 8th first ...and continues to care for him 'til the end...
then 4th comes along, he's the love of her life ....
later she marries 14th, who was always there for her... but she is still in love w/ 4th at the end.
I only finished ep 1, and quite frankly the interest is just not there. But can anyone tell me if Hae Soo has…
This feels like a romantic comedy...that's why everyone is calling for the OTP 4th &HaeSeoo, treating 8th like a 2nd lead.... lots of cute moments and fan-service in Ryeo.
Original is a serious drama ... the romance was just a plot device to guide her decisions... her friendships were the focus and the best thing about the drama.
She alone is the star.
I like the backstory for 4th, I hope he stays ruthless.
I like 8th .. still calm, virtuous.
Hae soo doesn't seem quite as clever as Ruoxi.
the rest are not as complete characters as in SH...at least not yet.
The 2 lead actors, LJK and KHN are doing a wonderful job.... really appealing, worth watching those two.
I am re-watching SH ...and by Ep 7, all the friendships were well explored, alliances made, etc... I am appreciating the writing even more the 2nd time....
So far Ryeo is typical fare.
Btw, 2nd time around... I sooo ship her w/ 14th .... Previously, I din't notice his admirable qualities, how he balanced all factions, and how he's the one that has always been there for her.
I only finished ep 1, and quite frankly the interest is just not there. But can anyone tell me if Hae Soo has…
NO... so far, friendships are not same quality ... sure they all run to her and love her, but no real basis.
Focus is on Love triangle ... not on her or on palace, survival, or friendship like in original.
4th's personality is explored more, make him more likable.
8th is whitewashed, 13th is sudden friendship, rest are immature and playful.
They added 3rd, to take over evil role of plotter, probably b/c 4th won't be as mean or ruthless in this one...
Same as episode 6, there are 2 versions. (The original sold version, Chinese -> English): http://hdfree.se/watch-online/moon-lovers%E2%80%93scarlet-heart-ryeo/episode-7…
R u sure about DF?...I just checked the first few scenes of ep 6, and they have the Youku version....where did you find Full subs for SBS version?
After watching both versions of Ep 6, I finally learned to appreciate the importance of good editing! The SBS…
That's what I meant..... that I hope they are working on future episodes now and send them to replace the international ones, way ahead of time .... All the sites seem to have the same subtitles source anyway.
Did u notice, when the queen said that Hae Soo is 29 y.o. .... not sure if it is a subbing mistake or what, but Hae Soo is supposed to be 16 y.o. .... 29 y.o. is considered too old in Korea now, can u imagine in Goreo?...
After watching both versions of Ep 6, I finally learned to appreciate the importance of good editing!
The SBS version is not much better, but at least it was not choppy like the Youku version.
Also, producers/director have probably just realized their mistakes, but can't do much about it now, b/c international versions were out a while ago....maybe they can still improve later episodes.
btw, this is all speculation on my part
http://hdfree.se/ and http://myasiantv.se/ has the full version
SBS has more LJK ....
LJK is not exactly the lead...She is!!! the princes who fall in love w/ her get equal time.
I don't know how this version will handle it.... but it looks like she is getting together w/ 4th a lot earlier than in the other version.... so at least be glad of that.
Two versions, one aired in China and other on SBS in Korea.
SBS version was re-edited due to low ratings, they added scenes, more of 4th prince, and trimmed the scenes of the China version .... SBS version seems longer, but both about same length.
SBS is bit better since it flows better and shows 4th concern more.
Kissasian - has the SBS version, but the added scenes are unsubbed.
Dramacoala - has the China version subbed ...AND... the SBS version RAW
http://hdfree.se/ and http://myasiantv.se/ has the full version
That's Not the full version, it is the version that aired in China.
The SBS version is re-edited w/ more scenes, and scenes from above trimmed here and there.
2 versions, both about same length just different scenes.
Apparently there are diff versions of moon lovers ep 6 posted in comparison to the one that was live streamed…
Thank you for the info.
There is more:
The last scene w/ the princes, 4th talks w/ Choi...what did he say?
Also, missing from the SBS version is Hae Soo hugging 8th as she consoles him.
Kissasian - has the SBS version, but the added scenes are unsubbed.
Dramacoala - has the China version subbed AND the SBS version Raw.
I'm more and more tempted to use fast-forward, the story is too centered on Hae Soo's love life, and the subplots…
Ep 6 is a little messy, plot excuses are as u say "half-baked".
I had my hopes up after Ep 4 & 5 that the plot and characters would be stronger.
but it looks like this version will be Rom-Com, not a serious drama. :((
Too bad, b/c it is a wonderful story... the romance is supposed to be just a side story.
This is one of those dramas that is even better the second time watching!
I am re-watching b/c I want to stay in same mood as SH:Ryeo.... and I'm noticing many more similarities and re-affirming the differences.
After comparing, I have much more appreciation for the WONDERFUL WRITING here... I'm still at Ep 8 and not much action, and even less romance, yet I am captivated!
They are not delving much into exploring the characters, or motivation ... the stress is on the intricacies of Palace politics ... But the writing makes every scene and every conversation interesting, even if it is mundane.
I am not exactly sure what makes this writing so good. All I know is, it touches the heart and entices the mind. I am deeply involved in all these characters and in this story.
Exactly what a drama is supposed to do, carry me away to another world.
I just selected "write a review" from Reviews Tab.
I would like to hear some input, mainly if u guys think it is too long ...
I just thought I needed to explain the whys, i.e. not just say acting is bad.
