I'll say it again .... whenever he was on screen in "The Princess' Man", I could not stop staring at his Seductive eyes and Luscious lips..... and Ohhh my !!! That tall Hot body !!!
Am I the only one that had a crush on the tortured Shin Myun ???
Excellent drama, I enjoyed it immensely. Often, watching the drama of the royal family I could not imagine, but…
Yes, Num's eyes are very seductive... He's entirely Dreamy here !!! Wish I knew what other lakorns Nat is in... Strong yet feminine , good actress. --- There is "Prissana" and "Jao Sao Prissana" , I heard both have strong heroines. --- "Buang Ruk Gammatep" .... has a wonderful strong heroine ... even tho it's a gentler slap/kiss , she gave him as good as she received ..... Very good lakorn !
This is the first time I see his name spelled that way .... I always see it as : Ji Sung...
Never seen it as Ji Seong anywhere else, although, I know those are the Hangul letters,.
Of course I <3 him .... A rose by any other name...etc...
EDIT: they changed it back!
Why am I the only one to 'like' him up above ?!?! .... He's a Mesmerizing actor !! .... and the Best Villain that I love to hate ! ... he's wonderful in "IRIS" ...and he's Amazing in "The Princess' Man" ....
He makes me like his characters more than I like the leads/heroes !!!
Excellent drama, I enjoyed it immensely. Often, watching the drama of the royal family I could not imagine, but…
Are you talking about the crown prince of B. or the King of Kasik ?
... I found the King to be irresitible... his delicate features, his dark yet soft eyebrows and his sultry eyes .... ooohhh I am in love ....
... and he delivered some of the Most Romantic lines I have ever heard in a drama... He truly made an indelible impression !!!
P.S. I agree, the lead actress did a great job ... her name is Nat Myria Benedetti .... Loved her as a very strong , intelligent , and beautiful heroine.... the same reason the King fell for her. :D
I've watched hundred of Thai dramas, and this still remains one of the best.
@anagard ... I agree w/ you, good subbing ....
and it is the segments that are titled....at first they are 10 minutes long, towards the end they become 30 min. long and the last few are about 1 hr. long.
I also, am extremely grateful for the subs available on this very old and wonderful lakorn.
I just don't know why everyone keeps saying that Le Jun Kai is about stockholm syndrome... I don't know that much…
@AnitaGuida ... I agree w/ u 100% !!! .... It is not Stockholm Syndrom... she was in love w/ him before and agreed to marry him, knowing he killed her father... She loved him from the start to the end, even when she fled w/ her son...
That is the one failing of the show .... her character was not well-developed and they did not explain much about their love before he married her ... (his love probably grew after the marriage)...
(unlike "Sealed w/ a Kiss" , where he used the opportunity to blackmail her into being his mistress b/c he was infatuated w/ her beforehand , and she had refused him)
NOTE: On the "Le Jun Kai" MDL page , I wrote a comment about the symbolism of the play she was rehearsing ... which explains a bit about their conversation in the car , and whether she would willingly throw herself into the fire or not.
(none of the above are spoilers)
Great article :) I agree with your opinion of Heirs - Kim Woo Bin was the only good thing about it.
!00% agree ... Kim Woo-Bin was the best thing about "Heirs" ....
@PickyMcpickleton is right on : "..... but his display of self-awareness makes him quite an endearing character. "
Le Jun Kai's ending left me like WTF Secret garden is my guilty pleasure I think I've watched that drama 6 times...........
Le Jun Kai's ending was befitting as retribution , since he did not get a chance to make amends or go on the road to redemption.... the show was too short to explain several things...
"Sealed w/ a Kiss" on the other hand , (same writer, similar plot/characters) had a different ending b/c the hero had a chance to redeem himself.
I've watched "Secret Garden" 2-3 times .... good characters, interesting details, wonderful one liners ...(i.e. Joo Won immitating her reaction to Oska "OOOOpppa !" w/ his hands on his cheeks)... So many memorable/enjoyable scenes despite all the cliches....good writing/directing.
My guilty pleasures: #1. Full House Take Two- It is ridiculous, cheesy and everyone has bad hair. Still, I HEART…
I second @Ellen .... totally agree w/ all u said in #2 .... (that's why I tried my hardest to watch the Taiwanese "Hana-Kimi" , but my aversion to Ellen Chen ultimately won out over my attraction to Jiro Wang) .. :((
Very very very intelligent observations and remarks.... You articulated many thoughts that crossed my mind , but I pushed them aside, as I was enjoying these dramas ...
I actually love "Secret Garden" and "Le Jun-Kai" ,, but still agree w/ your observations....
"S.G." , although it had every cliche in the book, it is the well-developed characters and the details that made it enjoyable... (i.e. Joo-Won and his boastful remarks about those track-suits...hahaha XD).
I miss Lee Se Ryung, one of the best kdrama heroines
@Surprise-Lobotomy ... I like your description of her character growth.... she truly is one of the most wonderful fictional characters.
"I still use it as an example of near perfection for a K-drama romance." .....
... I use it as an example of near perfection for an Asian drama, period...
I miss Lee Se Ryung, one of the best kdrama heroines
@TAMAREXXE ... Exactly !!! .... I could not understand these people who called her a liar at the beginning .... They obviously were not paying attention to the plot.
Just as @amrita828 said in her review : ".... watch this drama as though it were a completely new story, only with faces you've already seen and names already heard."
.... This extended story is Not in the manga .... and it gave a lot of ideas , that later , "Hana Yori Dango" and "Boys Over Flowers" copied and remade...
I enjoyed it for what it was , and it has lots of wonderful/memorable scenes.... I really liked that Lei (Vic Zhou) had a chance to express his love....
It could have been shorter
Am In the only one who didn't understand why this drama is so amazing? :s I just don't see the awesomeness in…
You are not the only one.... I saw it as just average , there is no depth ...
and I could not stand why she is so pathetic ... especially at the beginning ..... I mean she had been seeing ghosts for many years and the only thing they want is for her to help them ....
I compare it to Whoopi Goldberg in "Ghost" .... Whoopi was afraid w/out being pathetic and her performance was very funny and cute .... unlike GHJ's annoying performance. , constantly crying , pouting, simpering and cowering in a corner.
