I started to think that this drama has a direction problem. this drama tends to make characters do something over n over again to make a point.

first, in the ep1-2 tsumugi said I'll call you n love your voice so many time

in ep3-4, tsumugi said that she loves minato to sou, minato, her friend etc, like yeah we get it. it make me think that they actually want to convince the viewers about this so the end game wont be obvious

in ep4, I lost count how many time minato said nothing change or everything still the same

and like what u said multiple characters did the same thing to sou, I mean like yeah we get it that everyone still not used to sou's condition but stop disrespecting him for God's sake

ep4 is all over the place imo. minato literally has sudden flipped behavior n sou's condition is downgraded just to be a romance plot device.

viki subs is submitted by volunteer so it's also fansubs. that's why I kinda bummed when they chose viki as official platform, I was hoping more reliable platform. but I actually kinda like how viki sub translated minato sentence to be "because there is someone you love", the japanese sentence omits the subject so the translation from irozuku and viki are both correct depend on the context. as minato suspected that tsumugi like sou better I feel like viki sub is more fitting.

for minato, I think many users has explained their reason. he is very human yes, but very frustrating character so it's not a rocket science that people with different tolerance capacity will react differently to his questionable actions

I kinda feel cheated tbh. Sou's mom was introduced b4 minato's actor, so I thought she will be a very crucial character and the story will dwell more on sou and his family. If the love triangle is the focus of this drama they should at least indicate it on the description or poster. literally the important of minato's characters is not explained in any official description.

I found it ironic that the drama offcial acc has this phrase written "a heartrending and warm love story about reuniting with the person you truly love in a world without sound" and yet there is still discourse who tsumugi actually loves. how about the story start to focus with the original plot because right now the magic that I feel from ep 1-2 is getting lost

This. I have said this before, sou's backstory is getting shifted for the sake of romance. what sold me to this drama is because I want to know more about the growth n healing process of hearing impaired male lead, not this sappy love triangle.

I am getting tired of the romance, it's getting stale n cliche. if the writer doesnt get her sense soon and keep stretching the love triangle I might put this drama on hold n see how it ends first. minato keep getting on my nerves in every ep n I dont want to deal with that no more lmao

after watching ep0, hikaru irked me even more. I thought at first the reason why he supported minato so much is because he saw how broken tsumugi was after sou left but that seems not the case here

it seems that hikaru sees tsumugi as mother figure and minato as brother figure since he was young. his resentment to sou was rooted because he felt neglected by tsumugi, I think he doesnt like it that tsumugi acts more like "a girl" and prioritising herself when she was with sou. kinda feel bad with tsumugi. she had to take care of his brother since very young age

agree, I want to know how sou and his family handled his condition and how he manages his life now. I thought this drama will be more about his healing process and how he finally accept n make a peace with his condition. right now I feel like they only use Sou's condition as a plot device for the romance part

I read at the description that Sou works as proofreader and I am sure viewer wont know about this just merely by watching. ugh

yeah, I am not sure if it's intentional or just direction problem either way his sudden flipped behaviour felt so jarring. if he already made up his mind to break up with tsumugi, there is no reason he said something like that to sou at the beginning.

I hope the love triangle issue will be wrapped up in ep 5 and the story will finally move on to the bigger issue about hearing impaired person. I kinda tired that the story currently too focus on the love triangle n Sou backstory is kinda side tracked. I am sure story about Sou n his family will be far more interesting than all of these

okay, after rewatching ep4 with two different eng subs there are a few things I still dont understand.

what is minato's purpose telling Sou to leave tsumugi to him? as if him dating her isn't awkward enough for Sou. I feel like his response is so incosiderate n excessive when Sou just wanted to apologize to her, which is valid

since when minato started to give up on his relationship with tsumugi? what is the trigger? he seems so confidence about their rs at the first two scenes, whats with this sudden flipped behaviour

minato emphasize that "nothing change" A LOT in this ep, so is he still in denial or what. does he think if nothing change it'll make him felt less guilty about their situation. why is he so adamant to make everything goes back like in the past, which is impossible

why minato tried so hard to give Sou his original place? is it because he feel remorse and guilty or is it because he loves Sou more than he loves Tsumugi. I dont think it's his insecurity that was a deal breaker

my view about minato still the same though, currently he is the most selfish person which is ironic since he tried to be a hero. he didn't even try to understand Sou's struggle and condition and just selfishly drag him in the situation where he isnt' even ready for. and what he did to tsumugi is plain awful, nothing can change my mind about this

Will this ep be released on viki too?

At least for Sou, he got traumatic experience at 18 yo so I can understand his idiotic choice n coping mechanism. But minato is freaking 26 yo, n tsumugi constantly reassuring him about their rs. At least talked about ur doubt to her first. I wont called it self sacrifice, he just simply too coward to face the truth eventhough there is a chance that tsumugi really loves him.

The JSL teacher might have some sour experience with hearing impaired. I am guessing that he dated one b4 and it ended on bad term

I just realised that everything tsumugi likes are related to Sou, i.e. music and corn potage. he really does live rent free inside her mind huh

hope she realise her true feeling asap so the love triangle can vanish soon

minato is so damn annoying. I gave him benefit of the doubt in ep3 as I can understand his denial but now I really want to whoop his ass. can he stop to make everything about himself and disrespecting everyone. he really got my nerve in this ep

dont tell me what he did is self sacrifice. he make everything worse and awkward for everyone just because he chicken out. please minato, work on ur insecurity and stop discrediting Sou's condition before I personally slap u

Yups, tsumugi aint an angel. It looks good from the outside, but whatever she did is actually very selfish of her.

I like that the writer flesh out the characters in layers like these. They seem more human, n I can understand their action to some extends.

But right now I dont root for Sou-Tsumugi to happen that much. Somehow I feel both of them deserve better than eo lmao.

Pushing herself to Sou's life:
- in the cafe said she just want to have trivial conversation with Sou like in the past. Did sou want that?
-gastlighting Sou when he asked to not meet eo, eventhough his concern is actually justified
-telling everyone about Sou's condition

When she did all that has she ever considered Sou's feeling if he is ready to have a relationship with people from the past, including her. Nope. That's way I kinda agree about what Moe said to her mother that tsumugi did it just for her own benefits. Moe is so real for that

I want to correct u, she didnt feel reluctant to meet sou at the cafe. She suggested for them to go somewhere else, but since it's raining Sou asked her to go inside. I wonder how u can misunderstood those scene.

What tsumugi does rightnow is based on her selfish thought imo. She doesnt want to lose sight of sou again but also doesnt want to hurt minato. But still at this point what she did is very inconsiderate for both of them

Ep 3 made me kinda sympathise to Minato, but on the other hand Tsumugi irked me a bit. what a turn of event lmao

as expected, Minato kind of made it about himself regarding Sou's situation but this reaction is very human of him. I can understand his denial, his insecurity, resentment and guilt were eating him up. it would be easier for him to think that Sou disappearence was not because of his illnes. I do hope in the next ep he start to act appropriately ard Sou and stop his rude shenanigans

for Tsumugi, ep3 made me realised how selfish she is. after getting the closure in last ep, she has no right to keep pushing herself to Sou's life. she is being inconsiderate to both of Sou and Minato. she knew that what she is doing is unfair for Minato, but always try to belittle the effect on him. what she said to Sou about not loving him is a bit cruel n unnecessary, especially after she knew the true reason of their break up. yes, she was healed but she didn't consider whether Sou is healed or not. the fact that she need to spell that out clearly made me think that she actually tried to convince herself about it.

Sou is still the bestest boi. how awkward it must be to find out your ex gf dating your old bestfriend, yet he was still so considerate about it. I am glad that he suggested to not meet eo, it made me believe that he wont do anything questionable later.

btw, Moe and Haruo sensei r my new fav, they r so real

I feel like she said that she love minato was to convince herself rather than to convince Sou. if not why would she cried after that

what she said to Sou was unnecessary, whether she love minato or not meeting frequently with her ex bf is still wrong, so Sou's concern is justified. she declared it so clearly and insist it true, but chance r she is lying and want to convince herself about it

now that u mentioned it, those phrases were indeed said a lot. but honestly it didn't bother me since they put them into context, like how Tsumugi fell in love with Sou's voice, Tsumugi being phone person (let's be real people who prefer phone call than message do exist), and long distance relationship after graduating.

so based on the context, those phrases r still necessary to show viewer how Sou and Tsumugi's relationship was built. but I do agree that they dramatized those part to make a point what was lost when Sou became deaf.

since that part has been established in the first two eps, I foreseen that those phrases wouldn't be said much in the upcoming eps.

Yeah, it's said that ep2 will be available today. Since they started catching up, I am sure that at least ep3 will be released soon after it aired
