No chemistry here between the FL and the ML. No wonder I'm still stuck in Episode 1.Tried but failed.
each their own taste, but this is a slowburn romance so no they don't have any chemistry at the start because they're not interested romantically at that point
the way JXB is smiling at YNX makes me smile myself even tho I'm not even that into romance dramas, but he's just so smitten with her in the new epis!!! :3 YNX still angry + waiting for his apology but helping him anyway is very soft of her too ^^ I really look forward to their future relationship, but first we got some heavier stuff incoming it seems from the preview ohhhh
I adore the Blossom shop team so much, these 3 together!! sometimes I fear LRQ is too good to be true, but I just hope he stays the precious bean he is (maybe they rlly keep him like that to balance Suoluo, fingers crossed XD) Sai'er and BieLi are a fun setup so far! :)
I thought I'd finally give this a try but honestly I'm not feeling it yet after 5 epis and I just had to fast-forward or I would've dropped it earlier, when will it pick up besides family drama?? Maybe this one is just not for me, but if anyone will tell me when it get's more interesting I'll try to give it another chance ^^
this sucks, the amount of time & money & effort of staff + actors that goes into producing and creating a 70 episodes drama with what seemed to be high quality on costume/cinematography production, just for it to never be aired?!?! I srsly don't get this point of chinese drama land, like plssss sort out your issues before you put a fully filmed drama into the trash-bin?! I can't believe that censorship or an actors scandal or whatever can have such a big impact on everyone involved ( e.g. if there's rlly an actor issue then just don't hire that actor again, doesn't mean a whole fully filmed drama has to be scrubbed?)
Why is the rating so bad? The 6 epis that are out so far had me entertained ^^ Hope more people will give this a chance and check it out themselves ^^
Good fight scenes, humor without cringe and the couple is interesting & has potential :) (the 'romantic music' scenes were a tad bit too long for my taste, but a quick fastforward solves that lol.) would be a 8/10 or even 8,5/10 atm since I liked the last case they handled 'together'.
(edit: the rating was ~6,8/6,9 when I made my comment, so nice to see it jumped to 7,8 now ^^)
I don't want to wait for binge-watching and should be glad it's at least 2 epis/day, but stillllll it's not enough XD I'm really looking forward to the time when all main charas have been introduced and we'll get the different interactions & deeper into the plot of this world :)
The main issue isn't the age difference, age doesn't matter in xianxia dramas. The problem is that she raised…
"Tushan raised me for 16 years; I'm eternally grateful." that is literally the realm of the foxes, the whole community 'raised' him by teaching him lessons and giving him a place to stay (while letting a kid pay rent lol). (they're all family-named Tushan and the realm is named Tushan) the context of that scene was about the whole realm because she was curious if he just wanted personal revenge or cared about the fox-community too.
she didn't raise him personally, she let him stay in an empty house and that's not enough to parent a child. she mostly was busy being a chief and the time she spent with him was e.g. the grilled chicken time, but if the show had focused on the broader community we could've gotten similar scenes with many foxes (e.g. more about how did he get close to the other 2 sisters, how did he get to know the 'younger' foxes (they're supposed to be his 'similar age friends' when he's an adult, but considering they're fox spirits those are at least 100yo foxes too, so he wouldn't be allowed to be together with any fox-spirit cause they're all older, have known him as kid and taught him something?)
People are running wild here in the comment section. I just wanted to check out first impressions, but I think…
best to simply check out the 1. epi yourself ^^ some try to make a problem out of nothing (no they're not in a parental/child relationship, they're not even in a master/disciple relationship since he was raised by the whole fox community hehe) otherwise: beautiful visual effects imo, interesting charas, easy but engaging story so far.
Really enjoyable mini-drama imo, but sadly the often mini-drama-on YT related sound & subtitle problems ^^ I liked all the charas/actors (ML is great at portraying all the different layers related to his chara) and thanks to the slightly humorous (but no cringe imo) storytelling it's a nice watch to take a breather from more depressing dramas ^^ The action and general scenes are quite well shot for a mini-drama :)
Dam this seem a little pedo-ish, from the 1st episode. The kid look like he 10 year old and Yang Mi is mid 30…
if you think there was any romantic/sexual tension between the fox spirit and a 10 year old child that's a you problem, cause they had 0%. also she's not 30, she's thousands of years old, welcome to xanxia, age is literally irelevant besides the fact that she obv will fall for the adult yuechu in the future...
I haven't read the novel, I simply checked this drama out because I was happy to see Gong Jun & Liu Yu Ning in…
The fake marriage plot of the finale really rubbed me the wrong way:
(a) the way she hoped the prince would turn into the 'asshole willing to break up a couple' to show he loves her makes me suddenly question how well she knows him because it's 100% against his chara. She decided to announce her (fake) marriage with Luo, so of course the prince would respect her wishes as always + respect his friend Luo?!?!
b) they had to hide their feelings behind hidden identities & a difficult past between their families & a sense of responsibility towards the emporer vs accusing the emporer etc. so throughout the show they barely even got to acknowledge their feelings honestly towards each other and then we've reached the finale and all we get is a 'fake marriage plot' instead of a proper open conversation with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with??
I haven't read the novel, I simply checked this drama out because I was happy to see Gong Jun & Liu Yu Ning in the same drama ^^ I liked the start of it, the bold FL with hidden plans was interesting & Gong Jun as soft righteous prince was absolutely adorable.
But then it fell flat for me, I wanted more of their investigating & the FL figuring out the past. instead the storyline developed into a soap-opera vibe with the FL sticking to her marriage-scheme on a ridic level (considering it was obv she could've trusted the prince a bit more with what's going on) & her fake version coming in with more drama-lama that could've been handled better if they had treated her like an actual person instead of a tool they're disappointed in...
It finally got watch-worthy to me again when it came to a reveal of the FL's plans and the consequences for the FL/ML relationship. The finale sadly fell flat again for me, because the writers really said 'let's have them lie & fake something for old times sake isn't it cute' instead of them having an honest conversation for Once! (spoiler rant below ^^ )
I wanted to give it a 8/10 for the friendships & support charas I like, but considering I had to fast forward through quite a few epis to not drop this show I think 7,5 is the best I personally can give it ^^
I totally get that this scene isn't easy to watch for everyone, but they later on have talks about what having…
I didn't mean that it isn't harassment, I just tried to say that it get's better later on (I could see it as her having to unlearn a lot of her earlier life), but I get if you don't want to watch it, we all have our limits :)
is nobody going to talk about his sexual harassment (by the FL) being played off as a joke?! its terrible to watch…
I totally get that this scene isn't easy to watch for everyone, but they later on have talks about what having kids and romance actually mean and she learns (like does she actually love & want kids or is it just because the late empress said so etc) ^^
srsly idk couldnt get past the first ep i was excepting so much because of the hype cheap editing cheap camera…
yes it might not be for you, but the 1. epi really isn't the best, pls give it another chance to see more charas coming in and to get a better feel for it, has some good friendships & bromance
YNX still angry + waiting for his apology but helping him anyway is very soft of her too ^^

I will keep it in mind when I'll consider getting back to the drama :)
Maybe this one is just not for me, but if anyone will tell me when it get's more interesting I'll try to give it another chance ^^
