The cafe/restaurant scene was so good - their chemistry is top tier. The way that he just put his hand out for her to hold, and she threaded her arm around his arm and then held his hand. Urgh, that looked soo natural. It legit looked like they were dating irl LOL

1. But how do you know that he wouldn't have "entered the dark world again"? We legit do not know what he has been up to for the past 6 years. We do not know if he really "left". We don't know how long he has been a police informant for. We don't know anything from his pov. 2. They are BOTH stressing each other out. 3. I think you fail to forget that Chen Yi doesn't want Miao Jing in the city in general. He legit made her leave 6 years ago and told her to stay gone. And when she came back, he immediately asked her why she is here and how long she is staying. He even tried to rent out the house to get her to leave faster. Like are we forgetting his actions to get her to leave, even 6 years after????? Also, they will never have a "normal" life - they both have alot of trauma which I am sure they will have to randomly deal with during their lives. 4. It is her choice to do her job. She is an adult and she can make her own decisions, whether they are good or bad. Of course, she should be safe for HER OWN sake and for Chen Yi's sake. 5. From the looks of trash bin's shady business...no, she cannot do the job safely because anything can be dangerous. She also wants to do this. She is quite aware of the risks associated with what she is doing, but she clearly wants to be the one to take down trash bin. 6. Yes, it is that difficult when the person you want to be with doesn't think they are good enough for you. When that person constantly pushes you away. Chen Yi thinks she deserves better than him and whatever he has going on in his life. But Miao Jing believes that they can have a better life TOGETHER, and she is clearly trying to get him to see that. 7. Her future with Chen Yi is more important, but her "job" more so her revenge is also important. It showcases how much Miao Jing is also willing to do for Chen Yi, her loved ones (such as the policeman's fiancee), and also for herself. Miao Jing doesn't want Chen Yi to be the only one making sacrifices - Miao Jing wants to also sacrifice, protect, and ensure Chen Yi's happiness. She wants to be there for him as much as he is there for her. 8. Don't get me started on Cen Ye - he annoys me so much, and it is upsetting to see that Miao Jing is not setting clear boundaries but we also do not know if this is all an act or not. Regardless, the jealousy arc got really annoying real fast. But the unfortunate thing is that Cen Ye is her boss so she has to continue some form of formal professional relationship with him.
