Quite bland, not sure if it was worth the watch. Even with only 10 mins per episode I was FF so much. Whilst the leads had chemistry it was barely used. The ending was completely pointless...
This drama doesn't make sense. Even though the FL is really good the ML doesn't seem to fit for me, he looks like he should be her uncle or something. Anyway Dropped.
There's no romance if that's what you are looking for and it's unnecessarily dark (like the writers decided to exaggerate everything pointlessly) and triggering for SA. Also by ep 10 I was bored. Dropped.
Can someone explain to me, why/when do they fall for each other? It seems like 1 episode she's trying to seduce him and he's all I'm not someone you can play with and the next episode (for no understandable reason) they are both head over heels for each other? I mean I'm all for suspension of belief for plot devices but, this is just not even making any sense....
Yesss love my ZLS! I hope it's a happy ending drama. I have been waiting for her return to costume drama. I hope it's similar to New Life Begins / A dream of Splendor.
Ok to enjoy this you really really need to switch off any logical functions of your brain. TBH the plot isn't bad, it just doesn't follow much logic. But that's ok because, the chemistry and acting are good. ESP the ML, in ep 21 when he cried his heart out, that was better than some bigger actors I have seen at crying scenes. Your heart broke a little for him despite the lack of logic in the story.
If you can suspend your beliefs and just go along for the ride, this is one of the better mini dramas out there.
Was good till like the last few episodes where they wasted wayy too much time on the 2FL arc. I expected a better ending than the rushed one we got, it made no sense at all. The FL was reallly good in this though, she was the right amount of ditzy but cute.
This was a really boring watch, I couldn't finish it, after the first real kiss I skipped to the end (judging by the comments below that was the right decision). I really like the FL though, she was carrying an otherwise dead and monotonous cast. Also who ever was the sound engineer needs a lot more training, half the time the audio was echo-y.
Interesting story line, well acted and produced (ignoring the horrible treatment for a minute of the FL by ML). One of the better mini series, however the ending and the fact there was no kiss at all was what made me rate this lower. All that chemistry and no kiss?! What a waste.
That being said I can sort of see why the writer didn't include it, it was a pretty dark story regardless of the ML's reasons.
Decently acted but quite boring. I'm not sure why I stuck it out but was basically watching it at 2x the speed. You can totally skip this one, there's nothing really "passionate" about this (unless you think constantly being strangled is).
Seriously - can the mods not delete the account? What a creep!
I have been on MDL forever and these stupid trolls really are annoying. They do seem to pop up every now and then spend their entire time on every page here. It's so weird. Their common theme seems to be misogyny so it's really icky.
The drama leaned more on themes of family, friendship, and romance, with the second half focusing more on the…
Agreed 100% on the mom. She was actually a very realistic character, I just feel like towards the end the writer didn't do her justice. She was written well in certain parts (like finding out about the cancer, but that was more the actress than the writing). I think back to mom's like the one from Ojagkyo brothers in comparison and you can see the difference in writing.
Was cute-ish and well acted till the leads got together and then there was nothing more to the show but they still dragged it out for another 4-5 episodes. It would have been much better with12-14 episodes. It unfortunately got really boring fast after the leads get together.
TBH I think the ML did a much better job in One Spring Night. In that his eyes were more intense with emotions. FL was pretty much the same as all her dramas. Apart from Alchemy of Souls I find her to still not completely get into character, she always comes off as a little cold in all of her roles. This is just my opinion though.
I also felt the leads had great chemistry till they kissed and then it was so lukewarm from then onward for me. I really like the 2FL she acted really well and was written in a way that made you admire her.
I know a lot of people hated the mom, and yeah she was annoying but tbh in terms of Kdrama moms she wasn't half bad. I could sort of sympathise (although not agree) with her. Ms Park Ji Young acted really well, it was just that she wasn't written that well.
Poor sound production but otherwise a really cute drama to watch, quick and easy. The leads had good chemistry, ost was nice, but like others have said, the male antagonist really steals the show. He has both amazing comic timing as well as can be really horribly evil. This is one of the better acted, has a plot - worth the watch- mini drama.
Short decent drama for a quick fix. If you are looking for something quick and easy to watch, this may be right for you, just don't think too hard about the plot (it's held together by a thread). The main leads had great chemistry and had semi-decent acting.
Thanks for the great article!! I love watching these mini dramas to get out of a slump or if i don't have time but need a quick fix. Even the dumb dumb ones can be fun at times.
I just finished and totally agree! They went way too hard in trying to make it melodramatic in some scenes that…
I know, the director needs to learn to tone it down and take advantage of the actual dramatic parts of a story. I knew the romance wasn't big because I had briefly glanced through the comments there however I didn't expect it to be that lukewarm. My biggest gripe was the main revenge being too slow to the point where it made me just not care what happened to anyone in the end.
