I couldn't have agreed more with what you wrote. I started this while it was airing but put it on hold. Thought…
YES! they completely overlooked the miscarriage, they never had a proper conversation about why she became so cold (because she blamed herself for the miscarriage) and it really just was lets throw everything at it right down to the last 20 mins. I was rolling my eyes and just FFW to finish it in the last half an hour.
A solid 8/10 for me. Good start but too many lulls yet had too much going on made my neck hurt with all the (very foreseeable) twists. Unfortunately the writers threw in every trope and the kitchen sink. I didn't feel any chemistry between the leads but that doesn't mean they were bad together. They were cute and had their moments but there was no tension really. Everyone acted well but there were too many fillers and too many meaningless subplots. This show was saved by a good cast and decent acting. I esp like the way the ML's mom was written.
Overall, this is kinda what the world thinks kdramas are all like, but that isn't a bad thing either. It's a fun watch regardless.
decent acting but this draaaggeed. I don't know how they managed to make a short series feel so draggy. Too much time given to the second lead (even though they were cute the main leads disappeared for most of the middle part). The plot line all but forgotten for most of the drama, only the start of the drama was good. I couldn't be bothered to finish it.
I enjoyed this season but I felt Dr Kim was the one who was missing the most. His scenes were far and few between. I wish there was more of him in this season. Unlike what most have echoed below...I would like season 4 to be with different cast (apart from the staple nurse and Dr Nam). I feel like that's when Dr Kim himself can play a much bigger role as a mentor.
Season 3 was a great ending to the first 2 seasons, I just want a new season with new Doctors for the amazing lines that Dr Kim delivers in mentor mode.
Such a cute and adorable drama. This really hits you in the feels and the chemistry between the leads was off the charts. I really enjoyed watching their scenes together (and unlike some dramas we actually get a lot of the leads together).
There were some filler moment that were meh but overall this is what Kdramas are allllll about. All this love and heart shaped loving stares and all the warm and fuzzies. It was such a joy to watch. Someone below said the writers wanted every episode to have a some kind of second hand embarrassment for Im Sol and I have to agree! But it was always hilarious and adorable. You really started to view her through the lens of Sun Jae and can see why he fell for her. Really well done to the writer, cast, production team giving us such a great drama!
I recommend this to anyone going through a tough time - It will totally lighten up your days!
Also the OST by 10cm Spring Snow - sooooo amazing and fits with the drama so well.
Well done mini series, I watched the ML in another one and thought he was too stiff so wanted to see if that's how he was in all, but he really has a range here. FL was a little dull and lifeless but not terrible either. They still had good chemistry and the first half was well thought out but the writer just went for cliches after that (which is ok for a mini series).
A good watch overall. Would have preferred a slightly better written FL.
wow.... the FL in this is wayy too stupid to watch. Zero revenge plot and the FL just does stupid things over and over again. Can't even take it seriously for the silly mini series its supposed to be.
Not bad for a short series, not the best acted and like others said the beard on the General was a choice....a wrong choice. Overall the first half was more fun that the second and they should have just extended that part to make it more fun to watch.
Still if you want to binge nonsense with your brain off, this is an option.
I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. PMY has been acting in the same typecast role for so long it was refreshing to see her in a role more fleshed out than just a love interest. Obviously the driving force of this drama is Song Ha Yoon- a character so well portrayed you began to love to hate her. Even the 2nd ML, given that he mostly acts in comedic roles was so despicable here you couldn't wait to see his down fall.
I really liked that this drama really leaned into the makjang. They didn't bother pretending otherwise and because of that it worked really well. They were unapologeticly OTT. Initially I thought ending it at ep 12 would have been better but the extra few episodes do actually give you the ending you didn't even know you were waiting for.
Worth the watch if you are in the mood for OTT soap opera-esq story with some really good acting all around.
Couldn't love this one. It tried to be deep but came off as superficial. I didn't think the script was strong at all although the cast was. The actors were really good but they didn't have much to work off. I went into it knowing it was an "adult romance" so more mature and therefore expected something that focused on the struggles of adulting. Yes that is what you will find in this drama but presented in the most boring way. For 70% of the drama we seem to follow the FL in her corporate law office and it is . so . boring. I skipped so much of this drama after the first 5 episodes because it became so repetitive. I legit felt like I was at work with her typing up contracts (and that wasn't a good thing).
The only thing I would say I liked were the FLs conversations with her female colleagues but overall even they lacked substance. Everything was written and acted in a way that made the audience think "this is profound", but when you examine it there isn't much behind the conversation that hasn't already been said in a previous episode.
For a short revenge drama this was pretty decent, a little ridiculous but that's what all these short format dramas are like (so much slapping!). The FL is actually a pretty good actress and had great expressions. Rest of the cast was decent too.
I'm glad they made the FL smart and not some doormat. She starts taking her revenge pretty early on and handles the set backs well. Good for a quick watch when you don't want to invest too much. Very little romance but this is mostly a revenge drama.

Feels like a waste of money and talent....

This one was not for me.
