This is so cute! It started strong and pulled on a lot of tropes in a lighthearted manner. But like others said it kinda slowed down and got swallowed up by what it was trying to parody mimic. Still worth a watch though, esp if you want something cute and adorable.
This was a very satisfying watch. I really enjoyed it, watching the revenge finally play out from the horror of season 1 made your heart lighter. I wish there was more that could be done to perpetrators of extreme bullying. I hope if you have been bullied you have managed to find your peace, and if you are currently being bullied you can find the help you need.
All the cast members were amazing and it was just a great production. I have to say the antagonists out shined SHK but overall everyone was brilliant. There were small moments of humour and romance which I actually was grateful for because it would have been too depressing without those small parts of relief.
If you are looking for something really dark but satisfying I highly recommend this series.
Super cute romcom. It took me about 10 mins to adjust to the OTT of the FL but after that you really fall in love with her. Taira Yuna did a great job in making a very silly girl to be likeable. I enjoyed this for what it was - a cute fluffy romcom that will leave you with a smile on your face.
I had been avoiding this cause the title was sus but this is totally worth the watch!
Some of the MDL users here clearly seem to be living in a perfect world. Ya'll addiction is disease and the solution is treatment not exclusive jail time. That helps nobody.
Like a poster below said - if he's selling it then yes put him in jail, if he's made the mistake of using and getting addicted (which it seems like he has) then for God's sake he needs help not punishment. Have you even heard of the opioid endemic than seemingly has erased middle class America?
Finished this in one seating. I have bags under my eyes because of this season.
This is a really really dark drama so don't watch it when you are feeling blue already- and have sugar waiting for when you finish. It's sad that this is a reality in Korea, that bullying is such an endemic and that not enough is being done. A lot of it is rooted in class warfare and it's so sad that real people have lived through these situations. I happened across a clip where a young woman came forward with how she was tortured in highschool in a similar fashion and still has the MULTIPLE cigarette butt scars on her arms.
Acting wise - it's the first time I have seen SHK as a proper actress. She has always been a bit meh in her acting but she really stands out here. Everyone else is really fantastic too, they really have a great cast. I won't say much on the plot for now since so much is pending, lets just hope season 2 gives us the resolution we all need!
This was an interesting watch. They portray mental health well enough and some (not all) of the things the therapist talks about actually make sense.
The leads were good and I liked their story and how strong the FL was as she tried to stay by ML through all the issues. It is something that is ridiculously hard to do and I liked that they show her wavering from time to time but overall being firm in her decision to stay. They also had decent chemistry but it wasn't sizzling for me. The ML was really like a kid at times which is exactly how I imagine dating someone that age would be like. So overall the portrayals were pretty realistic.
I didn't care at ALL for the secondary couple and FFwd through all their scenes unless the leads were present. I specifically didn't for the TA character. She was so weird in how she kept chasing the second male lead around to make him study. I think the actress herself acted so strangely in that role that it came off as annoying.
Plot wise I think too much was happening, it all began to feel super unrealistic. Every episode was a new attack on the FL and it was exhausting to watch it. But what really made this drama lose points for me was the last 4-5 eps. It just was all jumbled up and then suddenly everything works out. It didn't make sense and they could have focused more on recovery instead of the numerous attacks on the FL. The way the mom's storyline was wrapped up really didn't make sense and it just turned everything into a bit of a farce.
Overall though, I think it's an ok watch. Just don't think too much and be generous with the FF button.
I can't stand having to relive that time frame -_- Like we didn't need to live like that period we could have…
Yeah, unless the story centers around the pandemic...I'm not interested in having it thrown in randomly like it was here. Although yes their business would heavily be impacted because so many hotels shut down but 2020-2022 was hard enough irl, I don't need it in a stupid fluff piece like this!
Currently half way through the drama...so my thoughts might change a bit. But I've read the entirety of the manga…
"Unless, you are into ....interesting...scenes...... " Read your comment before watching and I was like....how weird can it be ? .... I was not prepared for what followed....
Cute fluff, with a portrayal of a really healthy relationship where leads actually tell each other lets communicate and then follow through! Although the direction some of the scenes took... really ruined this show for me so it can't be given that high a rating. An ok watch if you just want some light nonsensical romance.
Um, cringe aside I have to say this went wayyyyy above my expectations. Probably one of the best FL's I have seen in a drama of this genre (fast/obsessive/slightly toxic /lots of skinship romances). The acting from the FL was great and for once she was written smartly. She was strong but not in an OTT way, she wasn't stupidly reckless but not cowardly either, she understood logically what she had gotten in to, that it was bad for her, and accepted emotionally that she was in too deep already. Even the ending scene was written in that way that you appreciate the FLs intelligence. It's so rare to see an FL like this in a drama like this. Usually they just whimper and look madly uncomfortable but this one holds her own whilst still showing the audience her vulnerable side.
I really think this should be one of the few dramas that should be rated higher. Obvs there are cringe and cliche parts and I feel like the ML could have acted better, esp in the first few eps (it took me time to warm up to him). I also thought they were too obvious with the lighting and would have had a higher quality drama with more subtlety. But the writing/script kind of makes up for what it lacks.

Recommend this one for those hesitating.
