This was so hilarious. It's true only a jdrama could pull off the wackiness that was this series. All the fights were pretty fun to watch in a morbid way, they didn't seem overly choreographed and the humour was so well timed.
I just had to wonder where are all the parents of these kids? How are they passing their exams with all this chaos. LOL.
But old people worries aside, this was well acted. Although each episode is pretty similar in the way these dramas normally are, they are still so fun to watch. It's just a hilariously relaxing drama to watch.
This had so much potential but never reached it. The FL was written in such a frustrating manner and although Ri Ying pulled it off well enough, it didn't stop me from getting irritated. There were too many nonsensical subplots and side characters. A lot OTT acting and as someone else mentioned, I felt that Li Hong Yi was really pulling back on kisses. He seemed to really not be attached to his character and most of the time was just staring at the ground.
Both the main leads were nice to a fault constantly forgiving and saving everyone to the point where as an audience I got frustrated from just watching. The initial 7-9 episodes were a pain to get through. Throughout the series the FF button became my best friend.
Although the romance was sweet it just seemed to be lacking something after everything the leads went through. I half blame the acting and half the director. There were a lot scenes that seemed to have not reached their potential because of the way it was shot. The bgm also seemed to be missing half the time and the FL's acting varied from really good to being too clumsy.
I don't mind a remake but maybe they could update it to be less toxic. Like every character needs a little bit of a rewrite. I remember Goong being one of the first few dramas I watched and looking back almost everyone was toxic in a certain way.
People be creepy. Like.... it is insane to have such feelings about a celebrity. You can't tell them how to live their lives to the extent of who they marry. I swear these fans only want their oppas to die lonely miserable deaths- it's the only way they can be happy.
Such a cute, fun and importantly consistent drama!
Maybe cause it was only 10 episodes it didn't have time to pile on unnecessary angst thereby weakening our FL. She stays a badass through and through with the only change in her being the realization that there are some good men out there, even in male friendships they have loyalty.
The main leads did a fantastic job, both were so good in action, comedic and romantic scenes! It's exactly what you look for in a good romcom. I liked how strong the FL was and her protective relationship with her mother. She was so cool and the kind of woman that other woman aspire to be. And the ML was a soft sweetheart ML with a rough exterior.
No toxicity in this drama apart from those who judge women for doing the same thing they applaud men for. Totally worth the watch and I highly recommend!
Decent acting, ok story line. Whilst I thought the actors lacked chemistry individually they were ok. Being a short series it obviously lacked depth but more importantly I felt like they didn't convey profoundly the feelings of the ML's realization that he had lived a chauvinistic life.
I did like how much thought had been put into the female dominated world. This is a hit or miss, you can watch it to see the interesting way the portray a parallel universe but I wouldn't say go to it for the romance.
Had to drop this since ML had no facial expressions, I even like his (evil) elder brother more than him. Wanted to watch this for Lu Si but this was just hard to get through.

Although I thought the FL was smarter at the start and becomes a little useless towards the end it was still well produced and a great watch!
Thank you to @SubbingPaws for subbing for us!
Though, I FFed my way through this series I would never recommend this to anyone. It wasn't horribly bad but it really was so bland.

Overall you can give this one a miss imo.
Wouldn't be able to enjoy any dramas without subbers like you!
