It's called subtle acting my friend. He is different than those boy band actors that has same facial expression because with him you can really feel what his character feels even he doesn't say anything. That's the magic of subtle acting and ryuhei matsuda mastered it. He is considered as one of the best actors in Japan.
Perhaps one of the most realistic portrayal of love in any Japanese drama. There's no he's the only one for me, she's the only one for me, you know those type of sh*ts.

To be honest first episode is not that good but the next 5 episodes are gold until the last 4 episodes lost it's quality again, it's just a shame because this drama has interesting set of characters and top notch actors to play them. Just look at the cast Ryuhei Matsuda, Rinko Kikuchi, Haru Kuroki what a cast.
Romance is not the main point of the drama so if you're a fan of Aragaki Yui and you want to see her again in another cheesy rom com then don't hesitate and drop this already. This is about people who are pushovers those who can't say no to anything, whether it is work, relationships or love.
She will voice the main character in the new makoto shinkai movie so yes definitely she will get lead role soon. Shinkai power is big deal look at what happen to mone kamishiraishi.
This must be the most underrated movie here on MDL, 7 rating is a huge joke. People saw kamiki and hashimoto and already assume it would be a love story lol. It doesn't even require much thinking to get the message of this film so I don't understand how it got such a low rating. This has to be one of the most powerful Japanese movie I've ever seen.
You'll find two types of characters in this film, the passionate ones and the laidback ones then add unrequited love element to the equation and you'll get such an epic climax. The acting is also one of the best if not the best in any school drama. No need to mention the actors most of them became A list actors right now even the criminally underrated Ohgo Suzuka is here. Ending song is very lit, sums up the whole movie. Masterpiece.
Hibiki is the definition of savage. I haven't read the manga but I have a feeling that it would have been a masterpiece if they had chosen to make it in a 9-10 episodes drama format.
