Episode 6 is the best episode so far, epic twist, epic intro, they know how to hype the episode using classical music (Symphony #9) lol. Looking forward to the next episode.

As I read other peoples comments, I noticed that most are pissed about the last 4 episodes. Come on guys we only see it as a viewer how about put yourself in Hiroko's shoes, she is immature and easily to get jealous and doubt things. Imagine yourself in her perspective where it seems Kohji was sleeping with the other woman, it would also drive you insane. She thought of having sex with her friend as way of revenge. She didn't confront Kohji like a mature person would do because she has a mental age of a teenager. I'm not defending her in fact I despised her character so much, very immature, same reason why I would not date an immature person in real life even if we share same hobbies and I like her a lot. I don't think the writing in the last 4 episodes sucks because if you think of the theme of this drama, they conveyed it so well during the last part.

I want this drama to get a remake and I think it would be better to shorten it to 10 episodes but it would be different since communication now is better than before. Maybe remake but setting is still in 90s a movie may work too give it different flavor like artsy festival film.

I'll watch anything and I don't see it as romanticizing as long as they are work or fiction. Hollywood for example is accused to romanticize war but I still enjoy it if the movie is good. I also live in a country where movies/dramas seems to promote adultery and teenage pregnancy but I don't mind as long as it is tastefully handled. Some serial killer in movies are portrayed as flashy too. Age gap, even if minor is involved I won't say it's trash until I see it. My point is these are just movies, form of entertainment, and even disney movies have controversies like racism for example lol. Now for the question would I date younger person? as long as she is matured, but I won't date underage girl lol. Real life is different than movies.

Is Suda Masaki even an idol??
Technically he is not an idol, but in some sense just because he started as a tokusatsu where she gained many female fans, he is also considered as one.

Nothing can be more annoying when person A loves person B, Person C loves person B, at the middle of the drama person B loves C, finally B and C are now together, but near the ending person B realized he/she really loves is person A.

Ddid Yamada Anna in this drama remind anyone of Komatsu Nana? Or is it just me?
They play the same roles so yes I see your point.

A very slice of life movie that you would get a feeling they edited out the important events in the story, it goes against pretty much everything normally recognized as fundamental aspects of engaging storytelling. The development of the story is just weird that you would end up guessing as to what happen between each scenes. It is by intention though, the movie just wants to show the mundane things but very important to the development of a character, which most mainstream movies ignore. It won't entertain you, no conventional dramatic scenes, no goal driven by conflict, seems there is no plot, instead it will trigger your ability to observe and be captivated by each characters.

Technical-wise, the movie is fine. Subtle acting which works better for this type of genre, literally no music on every scene, you'll only hear background noises. Cinematography would show you the beauty of kyoto, old houses, castles, beautiful shrines, Japanese festivals.

Fun Fact

One of the directors in this drama is Hanna Matsumoto. She played Saki in the drama suzuki sensei, another controversial drama that gets a lot of hate from close minded fools who judge a drama on synopsis alone. Hanna Matusumoto is a young up and coming director. She just turned 21.
