Appreciated the subtle political struggle between the emperor, grand princess and crown prince till the end, still wonder if the crown prince was pretending or if he was actually genuine all the time. Guess we'll see in a season 2.

They really be adapting all Hua Jianghu titles, wonder how this will compare to the animation. Seem they will be faithful to the original, minus the bloodshed ofcourse.

Hopefully it's good. Otherwise another, maybe even bigger, shitstorm will happen like the low-rated bilibili animation. Wonder what they spent on this, since they spent 200mln RMB on the animation production.

Isn't a lead, but damn does it kinda feel like it. I'd say watch for the cases that are actually really worth watching and the dynamics of the two male leads. And ignore the annoying Xijun and Xuehuan duo, she's still the same 24eps in.

I wouldn't really say the romance is minimal, it's feels more like the director wanted romance in here and make it a plot device but they kinda half-assed it. Ofcourse it's not much of a romance compared to xianxias.

Yang Xuwen is killing it. The romance pulls the quality down for me though, kinda unnecessary and out of place, hope it stays minimal in the rest of the episodes. The cartoon villains are laughable as well, but I can keep an eye closed for that. Just give me cases on cases and i'm satisfied.

Oh, and the fight choreo is one of the best i've seen so far.

I mean... he had nothing to do with it, so why would it ruin ur viewing experience. And he's still doing great, aside from all the shitty main roles he got after condor heroes, lol
