No, but it is made by a Thai production company and the leads are in the same Thai entertainment company. However, the drama is spoken in Korean, was filmed in Korea, and the cast are Korean.

Oh really? To my knowledge, Singto never joined another company. Are you talking about JINX MAYA, the production company that Singto built?
Yep! Its the same since P'Aof wanted to create a series as an homage to Krist & Singto, thus he did a lot of research and got close to them. Every single series they did together, including their upcoming one has a piece of their own story in the plot. In The Ex-Morning, there are a LOT of personal references.

I am glad you loved it!
I think pretty much everyone considered them as one of the original founders of modern Thai BL since SOTUS popularity set off the building of the modern Thai BL world and save GMMTV from bankruptcy, so you are not the only one with that opinion.
The reason for their "split" is not of any bad reason or a downfall of their friendship. Its actually the opposite.
Long Explanation: Krist had big dreams of becoming an entrainer like being an actor, singer, & a host. Singto realized that for Krist's dreams to come true, he needs to be known as Krist Perawat and not KristSingto. Thus, Singto came up with the idea of taking a hiatus. There were also other reasons such as them not wanting their chemistry to be milked too much and Singto wanting to challenge his acting skills in uncomfortable situations as he can't with Krist since he is super comfortable in working with him.
Krist agreed to his idea as long as they were able to work off-screen. This is why I put "" around split since they still worked together in fanmeetings, concerts, and non-BL acting projects, even when they worked with other partners and when Singto left GMMTV.
They decided to come back as they thought it was time since Krist has a stable career in acting, music, & hosting and Singto already fulfilled his satisfaction in challenging his acting skills. Both of them have talked about retiring from acting before and I think they are getting closer to making that decision, thus they decided that this last leg of their acting career will be as enjoyable as possible by working together as long as they can for now. This also explains (along with what they done to the BL industry) why GMMTV is giving them what they want easily, such as the PEBACA tour, P'Aof producing The Ex-Morning, P'Waa directing Write You Again, P'Lit coming back to GMMTV, and Krist casting Aou to be in the show without any audition.

Oh really?! I don't watch a lot of shows and the most shows I have watched are older GMMTV ones, so I didn't know that this was a big trend. I mean I have heard people complained about it in other shows, but I have noticed that it is more noticeable to me in Pit Babe 1 & 2 and Goddess Bless You From Death. I don't know if Change2561 shows tend to make it more apparent compared to the other network's shows who are doing the same thing.
I have watched Me & Thee, but I didn't felt that it lost consistency at the end.
Oh yeah Babe always jump to the wrong conclusion, but won't properly apologize when Charlie jumped to the wrong conclusion. That also frustrates me that there is so much fluff in between since they are not having proper plans/conversations when they already have enough information to start, like the writers are just waiting for the last two episodes to begin the real action that the middle part seem so long & stretched out.
I also think they didn't use Charlie & Willy enough. Like, it took around 3 episodes for Babe to figure out what was Willy's plan (well, he didn't figure it out) and it took Charlie 10 minutes. They should have explained Willy's powers better as the audience will just assume he can snap whenever he wants. Like, how long does the time freeze last, is there a waiting time between snaps, and does it drain him? There are so many times where he could have used it, but didn't like during the final episode or the kidnapping one, unless Willy wants to be captured.
The characters' writing does feel inconsistent throughout the show. I think Babe was consistent since there are people like that in real life (hypocrites).
Its funny that they jumped to evil clone rather than secret twin.
I did like that Kenta chose to self love himself first before falling in love romantically. However, the way they approach that idea makes no sense as how did Kenta came up with that idea since a few episodes ago, he was so deep in self-hatred. I think there should have been more plot time for him to come up with that conclusion. Plus, he could have done that with Kim like take things really slow in South Korea. I guess he wants to stay in Thailand as he don't have to learn another language/culture and he probably wants to start the journey alone, so he goes to another part of Thailand. I don't think it was a hint to Pete-Kenta. It was probably the writers can't come up with a proper ending since they want Kim to go back to Korea for his career and Kenta to start his self-love journey alone. Also, the ending shows that Kim & Kenta are in a relationship as well as Pete & Chris. However, I think Kim could have stay in Thailand as I don't think the next racing season will start that soon after the current one just ended and he told Kenta in that same episode that he would never leave him.
Didn't they hint that Pete & Chris end up together during the wedding? It seems like they were still in contact and Pete managed to see Chris as Chris.
The season was entertaining to watch, but for me, I think it is kind of mid due to the mistakes. I don't know if the books are better, but from what I heard, some couples don't have a happy ending and have way less page time.
There is good romance on top of a good amount of horror. I would recommend to watch the first two episodes and…
NC scene wise, not as much as Pit Babe, but a good amount. I don't remember when it started, but somewhere in the middle. However, the relationship development begins at the first episode.
There are jump scares in every episode (at least 1), but most people kind of get used to the scary faces at the end (still scary though).
Ok before I start this, do I get to see a good romance or is this full of horror? Im not a fan of horror so if…
There is good romance on top of a good amount of horror. I would recommend to watch the first two episodes and see if you like it or not as the balance between horror & romance are around the same throughout the show.
As there is development in the horror storyline, there is also development in the romance storyline at the same time.
ooo Your opinion is interesting (in a good way)!LONG replyI don't know if SOTUS aged well (in general) as it depends…
Oh oops. I didn't noticed it has spoilers.
I meant that I also don't think it was leaning towards pro-bullying as well. I forgot to put that on there, but my statements still stands.
Makes sense that you are a bit upset over that. Usually, when I recommend a series to people, especially SOTUS, I get very detailed to make sure its to their liking and keep up to date with them as they are watching the show. This is the first time I have heard that opinion before, so it is understandable to me on why other people didn't really state clearly that the show is primarily about the SOTUS system rather than romance since every opinion I have seen before said it has a good balance and that there were a lot of romance scenes on top of the SOTUS scenes. It also makes sense on why these people didn't think it is a slice-of-life. Personally, I would never ever think to label the series as a slice-of-life, even now, which is why your comment is important since there might be at least a few people with that viewpoint.
Good that you are not forcing yourself to watch season 2.
A honest comment from someone who is watching this for the 1st time in 2025. This drama didn't age well. Back…
ooo Your opinion is interesting (in a good way)!
LONG reply
I don't know if SOTUS aged well (in general) as it depends on the viewpoint you look at. It depends on the person of whether it aged well or not since it tends to be split and the majority of viewers tend to have a strong opinion about it. Either hate it or love it. Half of the viewers who watched it in 2025 for the first time did not like it like you and think it did not age well mainly due to focusing on visual & audio quality and how society works at that time (which no longer works now). The other half really like it and think of it as a great classic due to focusing on the romance tropes (as how they did the enemies-to-lovers trope is still a hit to the general public) and relatability of the characters. They also liked the 2016 vibes, which makes SOTUS stand out amongst the modern BLs they have watched this year and majority of the new likers want modern BLs to have the same feeling & aesthetic again due to the "fresh" vibes.
Of course, SOTUS is very different from modern BL dramas, but the tropes, overall general message, and the chemistry still is relevant & understandable in the modern BL world, so it depends on the person.
When SOTUS came out, a handful of people also thought it was pro-bullying as well, so that debate still stands. Personally, I do not think it is pro-bullying as they showcased in the drama that they do not like that people abused the system. Kongpob stated in the talent show that the system depends on who is using it and who has the power. In bad hands, it can lead to physical abuse/bullying and medical emergencies. In good hands, it can build unity, teamwork, and independent skills. Of course, the system has high chances on being in the wrong hands. However, it is not under the hands of 1 person, but the entire senior class and the faculty, so the chances are not as high. Also, whenever Arthit and his team gets too extreme, they get punished. This drama mainly takes a neutral stance and showcased the effects onto the students of how Arthit run the system and how Kongpob run the system. Like most systems, it has huge pros & cons. The SOTUS system is barely used in Thailand ever since 2019 due to protests. However, in 2016, it was super common despite the mixed opinions, so it was safer for the show to take this neutral stance and have the viewer choose whether they liked it or not.
This is the first time I hear this opinion of this series being more about engineering life than a BL or romance drama. The people who don't like this show tend to not comment on the "balance". The people who do like this show say that the show has a perfect balance between romance & school and others joked that there is barely any studying done, just the characters having fun or getting punished. I think it has a perfect balance as the engineering life impacts their romance and vice versa. As the plotline of the college culture and the engineering life develops, the romance also develops. For example, in episode 7, when the freshman did their last SOTUS activity, they realize more about how the SOTUS system impacted them and what the seniors were teaching them. At the same time, Kongpob & Arthit begin to realize their feelings (even through Arthit can't name the feeling yet). People who tend to like the drama liked that there is more emphasis of the characters' jobs and settings as modern BLs tend to not do that.
This is going to sound bad, but I kind of like how little screentime the support couples got. To be a bit clearer, the amount of screentime they got was perfect to me as it didn't feel too much (like the storyline is being dragged out) or too little (like there is so much development missing). Also, the Wad & Prem were supposed to be a thing, but the actor who played Wad decided to quit in the middle of filming due to his busy schedule, so he disappeared after episode 7. They were supposed to have more screentime, but his disappearance was at a good location as it didn't feel like a cliffhanger and they gave him an excuse in SOTUS S.
Of course, with SOTUS being my favorite BL drama, I do not think it is overhyped. However, looking at the huge increase in first-time viewers due to KristSingto's return with The Ex-Morning, I would say around 75% of first-time watcher really loved it while the other 25% really hated it. As I said before, there are a lot of extreme opinions. From what I noticed, the people who hated it tend to not like old BLs (pre-2019) in general. It really depends on the viewpoint and interpretation (that can be said with majority of dramas, but it really is important for SOTUS).
Also, I agree that SOTUS is really where modern Thai BL started due to its tropes that modern BLs still used like the engineering student, the university setting, the senior-junior dynamic, and the enemies-to-lovers trope (some of these tropes were already popular, but modern BLs tend to approach these tropes the same way as SOTUS).
By the way, I am not trying to change your mind. I just wanted to comment on your opinion.
Help ur girl here Is it very scary ? I don’t watch horror but managed watching khemjira but this one does it…
It is scarier than Khemjira and tend to have at least 1 ghost jump scare every episode (in certain episodes, sometimes 2 or 3). As someone who also don't watch horror, it is like a 7 out of 10 on the scary scale. There is a very recurring ghost, so you tend to get used to its face. I tend to watch these episodes with my hand covering the screen for like 5 minutes total and that helps.
It was quite good finale, sure once or twice i tolled my eyes. For example why Mek was separated from Singha snd…
Mek was separated because they came to the building with two cars and they wanted to drive away with both cars. Sey just decided to go with Singha. Either Singha or Mek would be left alone. They immediately rushed to save Thup that they didn't come up with the idea of going with the 3 of them together in 1 car (however, I don't know if there was a backseat area in Singha's car). They also probably didn't expect ghosts to come after them since they thought the summoners already got what they wanted.
They should have called an ambulance for Mek though.
Very good first 11 episodes, interesting, holds attention, keeps you at your toes. Then the ep 12 happened...…
Four out of the five writers of this show also wrote Pit Babe 2 where they did the exact same mistakes, leading to a rushed ending. Thankfully, it was not as frustrating in this show, but they tend to keep doing this where the pacing falls off in the last few episodes.
All I gotta say, I'm gonna miss Thup's eyes..there are mesmerising Okay maybe not all....so I think the first…
I noticed that the end of Goddess Bless You From Death is similar to the end of Pit Babe 2 in terms of mistakes. All of the writers of this show (besides Niwaruj) also wrote Pit Babe 2. Both shows have the characters making a lot of dumb mistakes trying to lead to a grand last episode, but the conflict in the last episode is resolved quickly in the first 20 minutes, then the rest is all fluff and epilogue.
In Pit Babe 2, the mistakes were more apparent and lasted for more than 2 episodes.
Yep! Its the same since P'Aof wanted to create a series as an homage to Krist & Singto, thus he did a lot of research and got close to them.
