I have never watched SOTUS but considering that KristSingto's "The Ex-morning" will air soon I want to have watched…
As someone who love SOTUS, you do not need to finish the show if you hate the episodes so far. It is my favorite show, but I know it is not for everyone. What I considered a masterpiece might be someone's trash and vice versa. Its all subjective. Thank you for trying to watch the show, but you can stop if you don't like it.
~ LONG TEXT ~ From what I noticed, fans of the show managed to look past the hazing part or don't think it is toxic/bullying, hence we don't talk about it too much. In fact, under the comments of SOTUS S (sequel of SOTUS), most of the them want the hazing to be harsher lol It is not that all fans of SOTUS are sadists, it is more like we understand the intention behind the hazing, especially when we get to know Arthit. To give you some of my thoughts, Arthit & his gang believed that if they survived the hazing when they were freshmen, then this freshmen class can too. Its tradition for them. Personally, I agree with the values of the SOTUS system (community building, discipline, time management), but I don't like how it is done. It really depends on who is in charge of the power and the show touch on that in later episodes. Plus, it will be shown that if the hazers don't control the freshmen class, then they get hazed harshly by their seniors. If it makes it any better, in the second season, the hazing team are not doing any harsh punishments after Arthit & his gang graduated.
Just in case if you didn't know, the SOTUS system is a real thing in Thailand and it used to be very common in the 2010s. In fact, the show was based on a book that was inspired by a picture of Singto (actor who plays Kongpob) when he was the head hazer. Krist (Arthit) was also one of the freshmen Singto hazed and later became a hazer. Since The Ex-Morning is based on their story, there could be a chance of hazing being shown, but looking at the pictures during filming of their school days, it looks like they will be in the same year, so maybe no senior-junior dynamic and little to no hazing.
May 22nd? This is sooner than I expected. Thursday has never been a BL slot right? Usually it's Monday, Wednesday,…
Yeah. The only BL series I can think of that aired on Thursday are Our Skyy 2 (Wednesday & Thursday) and Moonlight Chicken (Wednesday & Thursday). I think The Ex-Morning will be the first BL series that will only air on Thursday.
Someone speculated that the reason why it is on a Thursday is because they didn't want to compete with Zee & NuNew's very anticipated series (The Next Prince) that is airing on Saturday. Plus, all the other days are taken (I think).
Whatttt ๐ญ๐ญ I thought it was releasing this month??
It was a very good educated guess. I was almost convinced that it could be the release date, but having worked in TV production before, dates changed a LOT, so I wasn't sure.
Whatttt ๐ญ๐ญ I thought it was releasing this month??
Also, to my knowledge, it was never confirmed that the show was going to be released in April or even on Saturdays. I don't know if that was ever in the plans and something happened where they have to change, but from what I know it was just fans' theories.
Whatttt ๐ญ๐ญ I thought it was releasing this month??
They said it in a video while they were filming the last scene. I couldn't find a subbed version of the video, but people in the comments were confirming the date. It will still be fine, only a month away. On the bright side, they have more time to edit and can give us better quality with the extra time. Also, if the show starts later, it will end later, so theres that.
It seems episode 1 will be May 22nd 2025, I'm kinda sad it's not Saturday but honestly speaking now that I think…
The date is unexpected, but I am beyond thrilled that the release date is out even if it is farther than I expected to be. However, a month is not too long and it give them more time to edit and really make the quality better. To be honest, I want them to take as much time as they need to (not too long through lol) because if the show starts early, it will end early and I don't want their first comeback series to end.
Singto was planning to study abroad, but Covid happen and his father got sick, so that messed up his plans. After isolation ended and his father got better, he still stayed in Thailand because he was curious on how the entertainment industry was outside of GMMTV. He is still planning to study aboard, but that is later in the future.
The order of their name has nothing to do with sexual position. The reason why it is KristSingto is because if you shorten it to KristSing, it sounds like kissing. Krist and Singto liked that double meaning, so they choose this order.
Also, if sexual position does matter, it can be either way because they say they see their characters as switches/vers. Character wise, so far, Kongpob looks more dominant than Arthit.

I think it is really up to interpretation. Since SOTUS is a slow burn and has a lot of important details regarding…
awww thank you! Also, I have noticed that I have replied to like 2 of your comments without noticing lol and you have replied back to 4 or 5 of my replies. Thank you for your positive comments.
I did not like that too but what pissed me even more that the main couple did not have any chemistry, they did…
Chemistry is subjective, so it depends on how you view it. To me, I think they have a lot of chemistry together and they did felt like lovers. I felt a lot of emotional romantic tension between them in pretty much every scene. Also, I don't care about bed scenes, so it didn't matter to me if they have one or not, but I understand that some people really like/focus on physical affection more than emotional.
I didn't see anything to hype about and people say that this is their favourite drama like how? The drama is quite…
I know they didn't had this intention at all, but there are people out there who classified themselves in a sexual orientation, but they are with someone that is outside of that sexual orientation. For example, I heard of a woman identifying as a lesbian, but she married a man and vice versa where I heard of an elderly man identifying as straight, but he is with a dude for 5 decades. Like they are still attracted to the people in their sexual orientation, but its just 1 person is the exemption. Its very rare when that happens, but it does. Again, I know that was not their intention, but I am just stating that there are people like that in real life in case if you don't know.

It depends on a person's preference. I can see why people hate the show and why people love the show. Certain people love it because of the nostalgia while others don't mind the old quality or they prefer the old quality. There are also other factors as well. Some people love the lack of sex scenes and the focus on other subplots like friendship while other people hate it.
By the way, I love the show (my favorite) and it wasn't my first BL amongst with other fans' experiences.
I've started this series after hearing it's good qualities, the hazing bothers me, but I'm looking past it with…
It depends on some universities. Compared to some Thai unis, this is pretty exaggerated. Compared to other Thai unis, this is pretty mild. I think the reason why it says it is exaggerated is because it is based off a person (Singto (actor who plays Kongpob; Arthit was based off of him)) who went to Kasetsart University where it is tame.
I stopped watching after 4 episodes of basically nothing happening? Does it redeem itself?
It is a slow burn, so if you tend not to like the slow burn trope, you might not like it. Also, the show focuses on the school and friendship as well, so this might not be your cup of tea if you prefer more romance-focused storylines.
I give this show a 9/10. This is really one of the bls you have to watch yourself to see if you like it. Some…
I really enjoyed reading your review and updates. I am glad you enjoyed it and that you are respectable in your review. I didn't mind the awkward kisses since its the characters' first kiss together and I think individually too, so in my mind, it makes sense for it to be awkward. I think in the sequel, SOTUS S, it is less awkward. I tend not to judge kisses unless the couple have been together for years or the characters are not new to the kissing field.
Oh yeah that frustrates me a bit. People are entitled to their opinions and they have every right to hate or love the show, but it ticks me off a bit when they word their opinions as fact and believes everyone should think the same. It really is subjective since people have different ways of viewing chemistry. Some SOTUS haters view lack of physical touch/affection equals lack of chemistry, which I disagree with.
