the show itself is great i like it. but hearing about Krist's homophobia and his and Singto's jokes about rape…
Didn't both of them apologized for the jokes? They learned about that mistake and never did that again. By the way, I am not trying to change your mind on that, just stating.
Also, Krist's homophobia was taken out of hand, in my opinion. He responded to fans angrily saying he is not gay due to years of fans harassing him of his sexuality. Unfortunately, fans did not like that and created these rumors of him being homophobic and take every action he does to be homophobic when it isn't. For example, he said he prefers not to watch Singto have a romantic scene with another man (he still supports & promotes him btw), but some fans took it and even mistranslated it on other social media apps that he "finds a man on man scene to be disgusting" or when he said he only wants to do a BL series with Singto, but fans took it as him not liking to do BL series.
He did apologized for his response btw. Plus, looking at his actions, I don't think he is homophobic since he donates a lot to LGBT+ charities, supported his LGBT+ friends & fans, and is confident about his characters being bottoms (which I don't think homophobes would do). Even if he didn't do any of that, it is still not a valid claim to say he is homophobic.
So let me get this straight. Unlike here in the West where it is pretty well Pledge week for all the hazing and…
In the USA, the hazing only applies to people who joined fraternities. In Thailand, the SOTUS system used to be really common in 2016 until protests happen around in 2019 where now it is pretty rare. To my knowledge, it only applies to the first semester of freshmen year. Since there are a lot of students, you can not go to these activities, but the hazers can peer pressure you to go.
About the rape comment, he has apologized for that, learned from it, and never did that again. As for the homophobic rumors, those are rumors that happened when Krist responded angrily that he is not gay when a bunch of fans harassed him about it. Fans did not like that response, so they made these rumors. I am not trying to change your mind btw, just letting you in on information if you did not know.

I think Sotus S was made because most people didn't get much out of Sotus. Though you might be disappointed if…
Personally, I don't think Kongpob snapped because he was tired of keeping their relationship a secret. It look like that he was tired of Arthit running away from Kongpob whenever they had a problem and not tell Kongpob what is wrong. It looks like he understand Arthit of keeping the relationship a secret as long as they don't lie about it (which they never do, just they never answer directly about relationship questions). Whenever they flirt at work and someone walks into the room, Arthit moves away, but it doesn't look like Kongpob was annoyed, more like amused. He is fine with their relationship being out to the public, but he knows Arthit is not, so he wants to get through this bump (the photo being leaked) together rather than Arthit pushing him away.
Genres: Comedy??? I watched this with so much stress!!! Who has the time to find it funny?
I mean I did lol I share the experience that I did felt stressed because I emphasize with the characters and really put myself into their shoes, but I was able to find certain moments funny. For example, Bright is such a fresh breath of air.
Did you watch the series in one sitting? I took breaks here and there in a span of a couple of days, so I was able to let enjoy each scene without the emotions of previous scenes get in the way.
Every time I read some of these comments I can't help but think that a lot of people who complain didn't even…
I think it is really up to interpretation. Since SOTUS is a slow burn and has a lot of important details regarding viewing character's development and the romantic relationship between the leads, it is not a good series to recommend for people with little patience or people who overlook details or people who prefer things upfront & direct. I also notice that people who do not like the show mainly fall into those three categories of viewers. Plus, people who prefer shows with "female titillation" or more NC scenes tends to correlate lack of physical touch with lack of chemistry, even though it is not the case. That frustrates me a little because they will say that Arthit & Kongpob have no chemistry just because there are no NC scenes or very few kissing scenes.
Both of them made apologies and learned from their mistakes, just in case if you didn't know. Btw, I'm not saying this for you to change your mind or anything like that. To me, it seems they are good people that made a mistake and never repeated it again.
Honestly, the way it ended I have to wonder if something happened behind the scenes. Their arc seemed to very…
The actor who played Wad got super busy during the second half of filming. He had a bunch of acting projects he was in as well as being in a play and attending college (I think he went to dental school).
I've been putting this one off for a while now and the plot seems more like abuser to lover. Also I thought hazing…
They get together officialy at episode 13 and are still in a healthy relationship years after. Also, Kongpob becomes a hazer, but much more nicer to the freshmen while still being stern. Plus, SOTUS got two sequels: SOTUS S and episode 5 of Our Skyy. In the very end of episode 5 of Our Skyy, they have been together for more than 6 years and have been engaged for more than 2 years.
Curious, if Singto as a head hazer, was actually strict like Arthit π
Yes. Not as strict & harsh as Arthit, but pretty strict. However, he didn't interact with the freshmen as much outside of the activities because he let his sidekicks do the interactions. Krist was also rebellious as well, but as much as Kongpob. They did not like each other when they first met lol.
Started watching it just now and I'm already disgusted with the hazing. Oon and his gang of losers are those weaklings…
To give them a bit of empathy & understanding, all of the hazers before them hazed the freshmen class much worse, so in their POV, they are letting the freshmen class off easy. They are going off of what they have been taught. Also, if they don't get the freshmen class in control, they themselves will be punished and hazed by their seniors again. It is a very harsh, controversial tradition. Later on, Kong see the potential of the SOTUS system, becomes a hazer, and changed the system a bit, but it took him about 2 years.
i started, am on ep 1.. until which ep do i need to wait for romance to begin?
Don't know if you finished it already, but the confession is at episode 9 (as the person above me says), Arthit found out about Kongpob's feelings at episode 10, and the kiss happen at episode 13.
This show is bad. Even if we ignore how incredibly toxic SOTUS is as a concept, which I'm glad is banned in many…
You are entitled to your opinions and you have every right to hate the show. However, what do you mean about "the worst part is how liked this show is"? The show doesn't appeal to everyone. Some people liked it way more than other and other people like you don't. It depends on personal taste. Personally, I really love this show because of how well the slow burn was done, the dated quality (probably because I really love 2000s and 2010s shows), and the characters' development. I also liked on how they portray the SOTUS system and freshmen's mixed opinions on it. You view the show differently than me and that's fine.
Yeahhh unfortunately. The comment below this one has a user going at it on how the show is bad and everything about it terrible. The show is not for everyone and they are entitled to their opinions, but they even do not liked how much people liked this show like what! Anyways, sometimes SOTUS gets unwanted hate from bandwagon haters because the show is very popular and it is the show that first skyrocketed Thai BLs, so people tend to hate on that due to its impact to praise newer shows and to seem cool/edgy by having an "unpopular" opinion. Not all haters are forcing their hate, but some.
Because it came out ages ago when there were very few options. People who watched it then have nostalgia but itβs…
This probably cause a bit of separation between old and new viewers. A lot of Peraya fans and SOTUS fans are not too active in the BL community and tend not watch BLs often since they are used to the vibe that SOTUS gives while new fans don't like the dated quality and prefer new shows.
