I totally see where you're coming from and that's completely valid. I remember having the same experience when…
i think the indian series you are talking about is "man's world" . i watched it when i was very young, my own brain was still naive to how cruel the world is to women so even though while watching it back then i could grasp everything but it didn;t "haunt" me, but now if i rewatch it, god save me. and i just finished the other half of you and me, it was beautiful.

if you wanna watch a good representation of matriarchal storyline without the misandry, you can watch motherland fort salem. an alternate universe where the witches werent killed during the early ages and they serve as the military power of every country in the world. and since the witch bloodline in passed through mother to daughter and son, the witch families are all matriline based, but theres no misandry, male witches are happy and at all not oppressed in their communities.
pov : misogyny in real world is so bad that while watching this you start sympathizing for the ML and hope there's a masculinism movement to bring equality in their universe lol. the reversals were a punch in the gut, how in every aspect the "weaker gender" is thrashed, ignored, insulted, made a joke out of, sexualized or morally policed, limiting their boundaries etc.
i started watching The Other Half of Me and You since it was your top recc but i don't think i can complete it lol. everything, every moral policing happening to the ml is like a punch in the gut of what happens to us women every single day. great recc!! the acting is good too!!!
just watched ep 9. so the korean girl wrote her experience into a book and made it a regulatory standard for everyone else having the same power? like what? thats pretty much it, their basis of all assumptions is based off that book, written by one woman with one experience. like bruh, maybe her man just died, regardless of the curse ? is it even a curse? fl breaks her man's heart like i recharge my cellular data
for some reason everytime the dude thinks in korean and the lady doesn't understand, i automatically imagine her thinking in a deep aromatic voice " i donn understand shite maboy". and i crack up every single time
That was the ending?????!!!!! WTF! Like can you imagine if the role was reversed? I would still feel the same…
role reversed exists , haunting adeline and numerous more like those. the victims in these situations often suffer from low self esteem and some subsidiary of Stockholm syndome. and think that since someone is into them so much they are finally worth something and go blind to the obvious red carpets
i stopped watching the series around at ep 12-13 a while back, during those eps FL was demoted in office and was transferred to a shabby room. im starting the series all fresh and new now, can anyone tell me if she gets promoted back and if yes then in which ep?
