hes the only reason i am watching. I generally don't watch adaptative live actions into another country. aka korean/chinese live action remakes of japanese anime, i feel it takes the authenticity out of it. but if they are including izumi, they are maintaining the authenticity of the original work. also suda masaki is love, turu love

no no. I get it. and there is nothing wrong with falling for "step siblings" whom you didn't even grow up with or were not even in knowledge of what happened. there is literally no relationship between the two, especially if adults when the parents married. My logical head finds no flaw in that, its that my societal upbringing is what is causing the issue for me. siblings, step siblings, etc any two people, who are related in any familial form , being in romantic love, is a taboo to my eyes. yes i know this is a me problem. and had this series been just this way then i would not have had any problem with it. BUT, thats not even my issue with this drama: original was nothing like this. there was no valid reason from the FL's parents to dislike the dude, just their own biased nature. but that scenario completely flipped here, because finally, here the parents had a good enough valid reason to say no. i think they had to bring a strong basehold for the parents to deny bc older lady- younger man marriages are much more common in china than korea. like they needed something of more material for the parents to act in that way.

thats the way they did the movie. in anime, right after this, ajins are pardoned and given somewhat semi civil rights. and in the manga, this never happens exactly, kei's flooding in the was majestic, nothing as small as this one. kei's bmi is too much to release barely 20-15 ghosts in a flood. in the manga, he totally became a part of govt, as they tagged him collaborator rather than enemy, and a lot of people turn out to be ajins in casualties caused by sato. one of the govt officials, heavily against ajins, calling extreme danger to humans and must be apprehended at any cost, turned out to be an ajin herself. the country realized its sato they gotta be against.

movie is slightly off track from the manga. anime follows the manga for season 1, then goes off track. best is to read the manga , its complete as far as i know, i havent read it fully, only until the 2019 updates. its on batoto

also, in the anime/manga, he saves the researchers because the researchers show him the route out of the facility, it was more of a give and take situation. and izumi is continuously threatened by yuu tosaki , that shed suffer a similar fate to the experimented ajin and also tosaki helped her get a new identity. so its mostly out of respect
