"are you here for records or for memories?" movie conveys an important message;even if nothing changes and the odds are all against you,don't stop trying.
i think it could've been executed better but they didn't want to deliver a heavy human drama but a lighthearted movie,and they did a good job. 7.5/10
I haven't watched A Story to Read When You First Fall in Love but i just checked it and it looks intriguing. i like there is a big age gap between the main leads and premise seems fun
how old is the teacher supposed to be? idk but it sounds no fun at all.like it's some high schooler chasing after some high school girl.i like the student-teacher thing,but only when there is a bigger age gap and unconventional main characters.i'm always up for challenging 'n controversial relationships.
movie conveys some sociopolitical issues and represents a larger point about society and people. people who watch japanese cinema know that there are always deeper meanings behind. movie it's a reminder to follow the path of our heart and not society's expectations.

p.s its premise reminded me of the 1996 american movie primal fear,which is one of my favorite movies. i found that there are some similarities between the two movies but the plot is different and so are the suspects. both are great movies with outstanding performances-although for me young edward norton back then gave an astonishing performance in the beginning of his career,that is hard to beat. if you haven't watched primal fear ,it is must-see

started out with seemingly simple placement of the story but turned out to be a clever and endearing movie with interesting twists
