Similar is indeed difficult, but Misaeng is a slice of life genre that I would recommend to you.

While we were watching MM, we knew that DH was struggling to survive that "corporate" world, he said that he kneeled before, he was yelled to, he had to please the higher ups... but I think the western way of life is different and I never worked on a company before so I had this vision "oh, must be hard" but I couldn't actually feel it. And in Misaeng I actually cried thinking about DH and what he had been through in order to survive, because the drama focus on comportavism and your struggles to be there, to survive there, and it's so real!...

Yes, DOTS is very overrated! I coulnd't feel the main romance at all, I just finished bc I wanted to see de second couple happy lol

What bothers me more is the fact that Sunny's face changed when she incarnated: Queen > Sunny. But when she reincarnated at the end she was with her same face!! imo was just a lamme excuse for viewers recognize her... they should have thought in a better way... like some ordinary girl has the same green ring for exemple.

I like Goblin and I hate DOTS but I do have to say that she was a bit lost in Goblin's finale... she contradicted herself from what she proposed at the beggining and she commited some "reencarnation" errors.

I read a book a long time ago that said something like "to conquer someone's heart is good but when it's given by free will is even better", by that I think Ji An thought just the same... DH wasn't 100% ready for her at the time (he wasn't ever ready for himself lol). Glad that they both found each other in a very much estable situation... they were soulmates.

Well... I think that he was crying because he failed at keeping pretending about his marriage (not necessarily to keep it alive, bc was dead a long time ago) . If you analise, he was looking at his family photo and tried to avoid crying, so he went to the sink and there he couldn't contain his tears.
About Ji An, you can be right but I can't guarantee. Ji An was his air, she made him breathe several times. On difficult times. Also, he loves her (on his own way but it is still love). So, he must have felt her departure, somehow.

(Btw, I was so sad for DH, he thought that JA had moved on and that she would never contact him again (only by chance, knows when... at a remotely street in Seoul)... You can see his feelings when Ki Hoon asks him: what about that girl, she never called you back (something like that)? And he answers "why would she call me?". Like, he thinks that just because she solved her problems, she wouldn't like to call him anymore. And this thought could be his despair and motive for crying at that scene as well).

Well, in my pov, the ending was indeed a promising for JA and DH!
Idk if you remember but DH's mother said on her birthday that she wanted to die seeing her children happy and with their spouses... So I think that's why DH and YH couldn't divorce... yet. But she wanted a different life and she kinda couldn't wait either, so she went to america.

Yes, he is a passive man, that used to drive YH nuts bc she is the opposite... since the first episode I saw their marriage as a lost cause, not because I'm a divorce supporter (which I'm not) but bc I felt that they were not a good match.

I agree, the comparison between the birds and the song, was just brilliant. Yes, when I saw MM for the first time the bird scene looked to me as it is, DH's will to be free. Like, I can't be free but the birds are free for me (something like that).
I like to compare DH with the Monk in various aspects, like DH without his pillars, he would fall but the monk is the only one who broke all his pillars in order to seek hapiness. And Ji An never actually had a pillar to begin with. And they're the only ones that DH wants to really talk to.
