it is the best drama I have watched, amazingly written and acted
Haha just asked bc even with a commercial vibe, was a lot better than a bunch out there! But yes, SLA can't be compared... such a perfection... handmade.
I don't understand this rating. It's a masterpiece itself, deserved 9-10 easily!
I think that some ratings are from people who don't watch it, and just because has an affair as a subject they came with prejudice (and all its bullshit).
The affair is the least of problems (you can't even say that an affair). This show is WAY beyond that. Don't buy the poor synopsis or your prejudice before watching it. Go with your open heart, and you will love this drama, you will love the captions, the conversations, the delicate and perfect music, the chemistry between the leads... everything should be appreciated with an open heart.
How many episodes did it take you guys to fall in love with this drama? I just finished ep 3 but it feels so slow…
I like slower dramas, but I think I was hooked up on ep 3 or 4. I mean, I liked since the beginning, but I didn't liked the oldest brother (but than I loved him and all his flaws) and Ji An when she was trying to make DH fired... but I knew she was going to like him (and was going to regret to make this to him) so I was patient. And this show grows on you, at least for me, and when I realized, I was already in love.
I like to marathon, but I watched My Ahjussi weekly and was a very wise decision bc I needed time to think about what happened, think about life, I became addicted to read other people opinions to redefine my own... A lot of personal growth as well.
And I think that it's a very realistic drama... more than a bunch out there. But if you're not connecting then you should consider... If I was on your shoes I would try 2 more episodes to see things changing. If your feelings are still the same then don't force yourself into a type of drama that doesn't suit you. (ps.: I love Cho Seung Woo til death).
Awnnn so happy to see an article just for him! He is on of my favourites and an amazing actor <33 Him, Lee Sun Kyun, Jang Hyuk and Yoo Ah In are my favs <33
When I watched Stranger I started to look for another characters that he portrayed like God's Gift - 14 Days, Classic and Marathon! Horse Doctor is on my list (I'm just waiting to finish my university to watch) and I can't wait to see Stranger 2 :3
My Mister would be a difficult drama to binge watch(just my opinion).
I don't think that's the real problem... I witnessed a lot of people that were watching every week (myself included) and some that did a marathon (In my country we say marathon... is the same as binge watch I think) and loved as well.
For me, the show wasn't slow at all, but for some they think that it is. For my taste, I love the dark atmosphere (I think that has its own intimacy with the viewer), but some people just hate it or fear it, idk. Particularly, I love the sadness (I think that we're always trying to avoid sadness in our lives, but from my pov we need to learn how to deal with it in order to overcome), but some people just hate it and literally avoid it, they like the lovely dovey atmosphere or other and can't deal with all that sadness. Maybe is a personal taste, maybe a phase (some face depression, so it's not good)... And you're one of them, it's just not for your taste. And that's ok, but it's not bc you binge it.
They dropped MANY hints that they'll be a couple in the future. His brother too I guess he wanted to become a…
Haha about Ki Hoon writing again I believe is just not because of her (conquering her again is just a big bonus for him), Ki Hoon really loved to be a writer, he became a cleaner because he hitted the bottom of his life, but this is a good and a bad thing. Bad because feels that it's just the end of the world (like: we're gonna die doing nothing that really metters, we're not enough... and so on) but also a good thing, because you have nothing to loose anymore and you can try anything you want. I knew that the cleaner fase would pass bc he was so passionate about being a writer... he just needed a break to see all his mistakes and to fix them in order to be a better professional and a person.
But that ending was perfect, because he didn't stop loving her, his problem was his own prejudice with what he was working. So I agree, the last scene of his, just show us that he is back again on business, and they'll be together again! Ki Hoon is a temperamental goofy, so happy to witness his growth :3
