I'm here to proudly say that I never judged and since the ep one I shipped bc I felt some love energy (waves of energy idk how to explain), and I thought as well that would be an awesome drama <3 So glad that I wasn't wrong!

My Ahjussi came to me with nothing and no one and made a huge mark on my heart when it ended. I wasn't expecting all of this... this big feeling. But it's how they say: the best things comes to our lives without even announcing.
She went to prison mostly because she was hiding dirty money for her higher ups. She wanted him to became a very successful pianist, because she had that chance when she was at his age, but due to medical problems she couldn't achieve that, and she knew that he needed to go abroad to be successful so she sent him to germany. So before he was leaving he visited her at the prison, she said that she was grateful for him, because he showed her that she was living a fake life (a fake marriage) just because she loved the status and money, and said to him that in germany there would be tons of girls so she was letting him go to be "free". But he said no, that he would wait for her, because they never had a chance to live together and be a family, so he wanted to try that. By his answer she felt really happy. So the end is basically her still in prison and his voice on the background (I guess it was his letter for her) saying that when he plays a certain music on the piano he remembers her, for him was like he was touching her gently.
so the ending for me was realistic due the circuntances, she needed to pay for all her wrongings in order to live happily with him. And indeed is a open finale but clearly say to us that they're gonna end up together.

Maybe it's me but I find it weird her sentence was excessive for what she did. It wasn't her money after all..…
She had a conversation with her friend at the car, and the friend said to her to leave that horrible situation (something like that) because if she was caught by the police every dirty thing about that music centre would fall on her lap bc the higher ups will leave unharmed (bc they're rich and so on). Maybe that's why she received such a harsh sentence.

Totally agree with you, plus, I get so sad when people judge (because of the affair thing) without even seeing it. They indeed just think that it's just about lust. It's beyond that, it's about love, being in love at the first time at different ages! and it's portrayed with such a gentleness. Without even mentioning the perfect classical ost.

Haha I know, never said that they didn't do an awesome job. I know all the hard work that they go through to make such an amazing drama... ofc I'm thankful for everything, and we're all humans. Hahah and yes... misty ending wasn't my favorite even though I know that in life not everything ends perfectly... but so many errors during the course of the drama (I loved the female lead tho).
I want the world know this drama. It's really good
