Title Kissing the Ring Finger Spoiler
I was pissed when she said she trusted him. There is a difference between saying: I trust he would not do this…
Agree 100%. He's the last person to be worthy of trust. I don't care if it was accurate to the manga, the writers should have rethought this if they wanted the viewers to have any sympathy for her. Where is the Ayaka who slapped Togo for insulting her?? She needs to tell Kamiyama to get lost, fast. I'm sick of seeing her be nice to him and tolerate him after everything he's done...

So far conflicts in this drama are short-lived and often resolved within the episode as well, so I hope it goes…
I noticed that too, I think that hot scene is probably not for real haha

I hope so too...although I think it will be harder to come back from this one because it snowballed into such a huge mess lol

And just like that, I've lost interest in this drama. Ayaka's reactions are not consistent with her character.…
Agree with both points. Ayaka slapped Togo earlier in the series for saying something offensive but not Kamiyama after this...doesn't make any sense. I also noticed the shying away from intimacy thing and it was to a point where the scenes were actually making me uncomfortable to watch.

Glad to know I'm not the only one whose head is spinning after ep7...let's hope the writers can turn this around somehow because I really fell in love with this drama and would hate to end it on a bad note.

Title Kissing the Ring Finger Spoiler
Ouch, that was certainly a landmine that Ayaka stepped on. Idk if she's just too trusting of Kamiyama or deluding…
I agree with everything you said. I'm not mad at Ayaka, I'm more mad at the writers. I can't imagine any woman on earth not feeling violated and betrayed after something like that, whether anything happened or not. But there wasn't any indication of those feelings on Ayaka's part. She even slapped Togo after he said those rude things toward the beginning of the drama, and yet she doesn't slap Kamiyama after doing much, much worse? I also hate to see her taking responsibility for what he did and constantly apologizing. Maybe they should have strayed from the manga on this...

Loved that part, the humor in this drama is pretty great in my opinion

I stopped watching around episode 4. It felt a little slow to me and I wasn't impressed with the male lead but LOVED the female lead. Opinions on whether the drama is worth finishing?

you guys hate on yoon-young way too much. You're not even willing to understand why she doesn't care if she doesn't…
thank you, thank you, thank you for summing this up! you are exactly right and I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one who understands this!

To be honest; Nah. Way too extreme, impulsive and stupid. I get she is driven by grief and wanting to improve…
@Keiju That is a great analysis of what we've seen so far and I wouldn't have thought of it in those terms. I think you're absolutely right in which case we are seeing the beginning of Yoon Young's character arc right now, as a seed being planted. And it's a theme many people understand since I think a lot of us are not at all objective about our parents or their lives. I look forward to seeing that seed grow and Yoon Young's character grow along with it as she sees things for what they really are, rather than her preconceived notions.

@bloomingtide I don't know, since we see characters in some dramas jumping off bridges in a moment of grief and/or guilt, I don't think this is much different than that. It's extreme, sure, but not completely implausible in my opinion...

FL is feeling guilty for not trying to understand her mother and somehow I think she feels like her own existence…
@L_H Thank you for summing this up! I was getting so frustrated that it seems like no one gets this because it feels pretty obvious to me 😅

I agree that the lack of communication got pretty frustrating. I was definitely tearing my hair out a couple of times wishing they would just be honest. But considering some dramas drag on deception plots for well over half the show (I'm Not a Robot, for example, manages to drag it on for 24 out of 32 episodes) I think if they can resolve it in episode 5 we'll be getting off lightly lol. As for Yoon Young, she is a hot mess for sure and fingers crossed that once the two of them start working together she will become more focused and organized. She has a ways to go from here on out, but that's why it's called a character arc, and I'm just hoping the show will give Yoon Young a give one.
On My Perfect Stranger May 12, 2023
I truly don't understand why some people seem able to grasp the reason Yoon Young is essentially trying to stop her own birth. She literally told her father "I wish I could make it so that mom didn't love you or me." In other words, she believes that marriage to her father and having her as a daughter ruined her mom's life. In a moment when she is full of guilt and her grief is so fresh, she obviously is willing to sacrifice her own existence for her mother's happiness. It's misled, of course, but really not that complicated. If you believed your existence is what destroyed the life of the person you loved most, wouldn't you feel the same?

I'm disappointed with episode 4 and where drama is going. There are already so many red flags of bad writing and…
I also feel like I am watching a different drama. Personally I don't feel like making breakfast for someone is inherently romantic or I'm in trouble. I've made members of my family breakfast when they've had a bad day numerous times 😅😅 And we haven't seen NEARLY as many over-the-top romantic situations in the first 4 episodes of this show as we do in the majority of romance dramas. I'm just not getting 'forced romance' here...

I so need this drama to happen! The premise sounds great and I need to see these two as leads in a drama together now!
