my guesses after 10 eps: gi osung probably confessed to jaebum and got rejected then pushed jaebum off the building out of anger. gi o sung also kills won seok bc won seok knew gi o sung's gay secret (remember sejin or w/e said GOS had won seok do his bidding because he had something on him but then it flipped like won seok had the upper hand.)

gi o sung is an unreliable narrator. not that he's narrating our show or anything but he's the main storyteller to the other characters about what happened to jaebum and wonseok.

I'm taking EVERYTHING with a grain of salt until the director gives us the actual reveal lol.

in chinese "zhui xu" is a "son-in-law living at wife's parent's house" (and it's normally deemed humiliating for the son-in-law because he's essentially married into her family where as it's normally a bride marries into the husband's family). we don't have such a thing in english so probably why they made something up but it's nowhere near to what it should be translated to lol.

but yea I've been watching this with vietsub since they are up to date with the very latest eps and in her internal dialogues she refers to him as "guy who puts on air" so I think she understands his cocky/stand offish personality and just doesn't take it too seriously

They weren’t killed just to punish her or send a message, can’t remember exactly but the gong gong verbalized the emperor’s edict which stated their crimes when she discovered them dead. Their crime was being a negative influence on her as “advisors” since she’s such a bad person. Secondly, their existence and relationships with her brings negative rumor for her and the royal family.

But yea, emperor ordered it so it’s not without a “just” cause according to the laws of their time.

I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons. Thank you to the show for not killing any familiar “good guy” character during the last climatic battle. That is always an instant -2points for me lol and completely ruins a possibly superb show.
