What I do not get, is why would the father kill his wife out of jealousy shortly before his daughter is going…
nothing is confirmed yet. it was just a "reenactment" from what QY was thinking/accusing had happened. I do think someone did it to delay the marriage since if there's a death of an elder in the family the children have to mourn for 3yrs. (yuan long is sus since he was discussing to prevent the marriage right before the mom died)
only thing I'm confused about atm is why the emperor sent his eunuch to personally free the doctor and his daughter from the firewood department, it seemed to have led to a change of confession in court.
😂😂😂poor QX. True i want the fl ml come together asap. But a big no to QX QM pairing unless QM changes…
I don't think she "loves" XQ. she explained to LY that she wanted to be with XQ because he's the only one available that would accept her despite all her baggage (widow, etc). She describes XQ as a means to and end and it was acceptable to choose him because he treated her well.
We've seen her catching herself in thoughts thinking about LY at times. She never thought about XQ like that.
but yea, due to LY marriage agreement with QM, he pretty much got friend zoned by QY
does this get good? just finishing up ep 4, having a military background... I find all the training/tactical stuff so far pretty corny for a supposedly "elite" group lol
Agreed. My negative comments are going to be labelled as unreasonable hate comments, but seriously the first five…
yea the anime portrayed the honey trap a lot better. Su Mo was full on trapping and it was only bai ying who fell in love thus breaking the seal, and he didn't realize he genuinely liked/love bai ying until after/as she jumped. it was then that he shed a tear turning into a pearl as it fell towards the falling bai ying.
the drama made Su Mo too conscious of his feelings and decision makings during the honey trap which made the revelation during the jump kinda lacking. they tried to make it a simple "love story" but it really wasn't, it was a bit more complicated than that.
I like this show. not sure how closely the donghua follows the source novel in terms of scene by scene but this live action moved things around quite a bit compared to the donghua. I think they were attempting to create a sort of love that spans different lifetimes type of vibe, but it doesn't seem like there was enough source material for that type of thing. So, when they did it the way they did in this drama... it felt lacking like some of the people are saying. The past events should've been a quick flashback or narrated prologue even.
I’ve seen 2 episodes and it’s got me all confused with so much going on . He’s going back 100 years ago…
The story starts in the present time (him talking to the little girl outside the cave). It jumps back in time to tell the story 100 years ago. It's not time traveling lol just the timeline of the story is being shifted.
Ep 40' ML goes to FL but she rejects himThen FL is in danger on a boat sinkingML saves her' happy ending
yea I didn't get how she got caught up in the fake sales scandal. lol she was only a flight attendant and was only liu yu fan's gf (apparently wife in the last ep?)
bro that was not a flashback. that was literally their first "date" in present time lol. they never dated or even met in the past before zhuo rui arrived in beijing.
xfn: wow so many swords, the attack must be really powerful sword god: when you get to this level, it's all the same whether it's 1 or many xfn: so why'd you take so many? sword god: bc it looks domineering
For those who have read the novel can you please let me know if Chen Zhi Bao remains loyal to Beiliang or what’s…
I've only read what this season covered so idk. but I saw someone in the comments say all of xu xiao's adopted sons were brainwashed to be loyal. if that's true I guess there won't be betrayal lol
they should be explaining her backstory in one of the next few eps. at least that's what happened in the novel.
iicrc, when she was young her father was a POS that made her mom sleep with people for money. either bc of the abuse or the father was thinking of selling Ms He He as well, her mom poisoned him one day. can't remember if she also suicided then or died eventually. anyway, when her mom passed away she went to the streets to beg for money to bury her mother. nobody would help her and said her mom was "dirty" and doesn't deserve to be buried; told her to just dump her mom in the wild for the animals. then someone harassed her and asked if she was "dirty" like her mom and attempted to assault her. she was saved by a young XFN, he put a super expensive hairpin on her mom and had her mom buried. afterwards she has been killing bad people and collecting hairpins. she has been helping xfn to pay back for helping her back then, she's not working for anyone and there's no bounty for killing him like she has been saying.
lol I THINK that was her backstory. some details might be messed up but that's about the gist of it.
