yea I watched 17 and 18 without subs so I'm not sure, but I think they were both strategizing on how to win the 8 or 9 sales cases that yang lu had held back from signing in the previous eps. It seemed like zhou rui might've tricked huikang into chasing a particular "bigger" case while Ye Chao Dong and Yang Lu focused on winning more of the smaller cases.
Their little squad meeting in ep 18 seemed like they "won", and they were congratulating ye chao dong but then he was acting like he's done with it and was leaving the company soon or something.
lol I'm gonna have to rewatch 17 and 18 when subs come out.

I just got to this part of the conversation between xfn and his mom's maid in the novel. pretty much the mom was able to escape the capital, but she was injured. after arriving in beiliang she was able to live for a few years but in the end succumbed to the injury because they were never able to fully treat it. so in those few years, she gave birth to xfn and then huangman'er

if they use real horses then they probably do have a horse person there. actors probably get some ride trainings beforehand too. (saw "the witcher" cast talking about their horse riding in their interviews so I'd think it'd be the same)

her character is written to have a childish front most of the times, during the serious parts the actress does an excellent job portraying that so I don't see where you would have a problem with the casting.
