I think someone said it was along the line of bai jue splitting his soul into two in order to develop chaos power during the 60k years because he wasn't born with the chaos core like shanggu or xuanyi (the dude who was supposed to sacrifice during the tribulation but said hell nah and converted to demon lol so then shanggu had to replace him, he was the original leader of the 5 true gods). bai jue somehow stopped shanggu from sacrificing herself to stop the tribulation and his overall plan is to develop the power she has so he can complete the tribulation in her place.

sigh.. I stopped watching a couple weeks ago so I stockpile eps until it finished airing lol. gave into temptation yesterday and just now finished bingeing eps 19-38 :(( now I have to wait again.

apparently FL lead's student Gu Jun got together with her maid/spiritual beast Wu Huan and birth the egg that Gu Jun was holding at Wu Huan and the other dude's wedding. FL reincarnated into that egg and is now that young princess we saw getting her powers tested at end of ep 16. I think a whole squad of gods might've reincarnated as well when they showed that group of really young practitioners in white looking at the stars at night.

how far into it did you start skimming. You can already get a clear understanding on how their "attraction" develop in eps 2 and 3.
tough to say the story is 0/10 when you're skimming through the story as you've said lol

idk if it's just me reading things wrong but it seems like fushui and consort Yan's personal eunuch is actually the final bosses? like it seems like consort Yan wants to do bad things get power for prince zhou but fushui and the eunuch are using her in their plot to get vengeance against the royal family/dynasty.

I think he's a descendent of the previous Sui dynasty that got taken over by current Tang since he mentioned something about getting revenge.

i've only seen her in scarlet heart and hotel del luna so I can't judge all her work but she's only arrogant in hotel del luna bc that's what the character is lol. IU as a singer and celebrity is so humble and nice

really enjoyed this show. Chang Ge is befitting of Main Character (not just FL but a whole ass MC bc the series is titled after her). She's strong and intelligent and stays that way all the way till the end unlike many show where the titled female main character gets nerfed half way through after meeting her "man" and becomes a damsel.

the show remained focused on the story, very little to no bs filler in any episodes.

anyone else really liked the way they used motion comic to portray giant army battles and scenes during narration? I thought it was really cool, and probably saved a lot of money for other things.

idk if Leyan's voice is dubbed or it's the actress's voice but it so fitting, like really cute and adorable every time she says "hao du" lol. It's the same feeling like when the way baiqian says "yehua" in tmopb.

during the rescue operation. who the heck is that little prince(?)(the one buzhen was serving) and that lady (she looked royal) that shuyu and changge's master rescue? idk if I wasn't paying attention and missed it but i'm hella confused lol

yea it's all chumu being immature/kinda hotheaded. even if she hid the fact that yzf took her. she literally ran away with him, told him he was "the one" many times, they even did the little "wedding" thingy (set up by her) and slept together the night before the "carriage smile" incident. I think he was already over the fact she hid about yzf since we saw he was just pretending to be mad. but the lack of trust he showed for her by being so distraught at the carriage smile part was upsetting tbh.

when Lu yingying helped Fu rou escape she made Fu Rou promise to not tell anyone Yan Zhi fang kidnapped her. Both to keep the promise but also she wants to protect an old friend too because if anyone knew what YZF did he'd be in big trouble.

well technically, If I recall correctly LHX got the order to kill the entire family from Lu Qi and his father.. so they're all responsible for the fire doesn't matter who actually carried out the task.

I feel ya. A lot of shows become quite draining mentally and emotionally. After watching enough drama series you pretty much "know" the general plot devices and just want to fast forward all the up and down bs to the ending haha.

yea death flags all over the place for Fu Rou's little brother and sister. I'm gonna guess either one or both will die by the end.. they're in some risky business right now.

@Alma, these are arranged marriage btw.. the parents (mostly head mom) decides what goes on. remember, the first time they all went to Xu family for the "party" it was to test which one of the sisters would be mature/smart enough to replace the oldest sister once she passes away. The 2nd sister failed the test when she left the music performance for the "distraction" that the older sister offered. Shiyi stayed behind to watch the play and was then led by the oldest sister to witness the scheme to make Qiao lianfeng a concubine (ruining her reputation). That's really how 2nd sis ended up being arranged to marry Wang. other than telling her to runn away (which shiyi tried).. shiyi wouldn't have been able to help her 2nd sis get out of the marriage in anyway.

I think at the end of 34 her 2nd sis told her husband that she had ran away from their marriage before. This furthers his misunderstanding that she's only good to him to repay his kindness and lessen her guilt of stabbing him etc. beginning of 35 she told him sorry for hurting him and she didn't want to lose him then they made sweet love lol.

I think you need the subs asap lol. he actually confessed to her husband that he did in fact liked shi yi but had given up pursuing her after finding out she is married. I think he's well mannered enough to be telling the truth and has been only helping her afterwards as a friend. (he probably still has feelings but from what he said to her husband, he's not pursuing those feelings)

I finished the show but it's so annoying; this includes most of the characters and the plot. The theme of "self-sacrifice" was so overused... everyone and their mothers had multiple moments where they "sacrificed" themselves in order to try to resolve a situation on behalf of another character.. but only to end up creating an even bigger mess.
One true solution = Kill Weishang Yan. This dude was exposed as the final boss behind EVERYTHING like half-way into the show and every character had infinite chances to kill him and be done with it but somehow they all end up following his plans or making deals with him.. which only helped to further his own plans. Nobody actually kills him in the end.. lol wtf.
The "heroes" in this show didn't do anything heroic at the end.. The emperor, ling long, her father.. were having fcking dinner and long chats all while knowing the city of pingting was being ravaged by evil souls. like bruh c'mon.

The show premise was good but the writing and direction it took was not. We went in a circle and achieved nothing.

yea before his 1st wife passes away she had a plan to have one of her sister (ends up being FL) be married into the family as an legal wife to look out for her son, she also made it so Qiao Lian Fang who was the biggest threat to become the next wife could only come into the family as a concubine. legal wife is in charge of all the shiznits in the house so it was important for his 1st wife to do all that to keep her son's future in good hands.
