I started this per your recommendation the other day. I wasn't too into it the first couple episodes, but I'm really enjoying it now. I love the banter between the ML and his friend. Who, by the way, reminds me of Lee Kwang Soo.
I agree with that, which is why I dropped it. I did watch the last episode and the epilogue, though. It's a shame, too, because if they had tightened up the script—i.e., no garbage tropey nonsense—and kept it to a maximum of 25 episodes, it would have been a great show. Like you said, it started out well, but as with too many C-dramas, there are too many episodes, and they fill the middle with garbage.
also, the blurb above states they retreat into the world of heaven and earth...did something get lost in translation?…
I think it’s meant to show that they choose to leave everything behind and live life on their own terms—free from court intrigue and outside manipulation.
