I love C-dramas, but this is something that truly annoys me about them. I've dropped a lot of shows because of the constant dragging out of things and then cramming everything in at the end. I'd never drop this show, but it's happened with a lot of others.

It's back up to 8 now. It'll probably ebb and flow with people's emotions in response to each episode until the end, when a more or less final rating will settle in. Plus, yes—the haters are fiddling with things too.

I definitely wouldn't be opposed to an entire drama's worth of his life pre-Mudan. With all the spy stuff etc.

Good point, but I would still very much like more than 5 minutes towards the end of the last episode for them to be a proper couple .

I sigh in irritation every time I see his face.

It's out of character for him not to have figured it out, but the writers wanted more angst, so 🤷‍♀️

Does anyone know if going forward Viki is sticking to releasing only one episode per day. Episode 7 was one release, now 8 today being another and it already says only episode 9 will be released tomorrow.

It's probably just because a lot of people got ticked about the miscommunication trope. That's most likely what the drop is from.
