🍉 Very new melon. Costume drama adapted from novel/ manhua.https://x.com/kngyunxiyiran/status/1920054312291729573
Nah, they say this IP belongs to Huanrui (Cheng Yi’s company), so the chances of LYX starring in it are pretty much zero. It’s just a hype-up rumor—or maybe just a random Douban post made solely to stir up a fanwar.

I doubt Xin Shuang is still attached to this project—probably never was, to be honest. Baseless hype-up rumors with big director names are just as common as the ones with big actor names. It makes no sense to hand a big-budget, CGI-heavy drama to a director who’s only worked on grounded psychological thrillers.
The person in question was never part of LYX’s staff. They were just a fan who named their XHS account "Luo…
Who knows. Judging from their page, could be participating in the recent fanwar - that's not a good look for an account that has "fanclub" in its name.
Well, it’s rumored for May, so we’ll see soon enough. But the rumor’s persistence could be more connected…
More like—which ones are at least remotely salvageable 😅 It’s not a big IP, and the production team isn’t particularly prestigious, so seeing a big-name actor (with the inevitably big price tag) attached to it feels a bit odd. This drama would make more sense as a lower-budget production with lesser-known actors to help keep costs down.

The variety show filming might just be connected to the set being available. They were filming the “IP collision” episode, which means replaying an earlier episode of the variety show but with different characters in the same setting. So they had to get it done before the set was demolished.

Yes, there are some regulations that require celebrities to manage their fan clubs. They’re often run by fans, but they still need to be at least approved by the celebrity’s team.
Actually, that body double post does look a bit sus, since it’s not typical for casting ads to mention an actor’s name directly. Usually, they just list physical requirements. Let’s wait and see.
Can anyone shed some light on this?https://x.com/LuoYunxiFanClub/status/1919319449540112390
The person in question was never part of LYX’s staff. They were just a fan who named their XHS account "Luo Yunxi Fan Club." Luo Yunxi’s studio eventually noticed and asked them to change the account name, which they promptly did.
There may or may not be some additional fallout with that fan happening behind the scenes, but in any case, it was never an official fan club account—and the person wasn’t “fired,” because they were never hired in the first place.

In any case, this particular drama can either start filming soon, or not at all. They got their filming licence two years ago in June, so it's about to expire.

If you’re curious, here are the character descriptions based on the novel:
ML: Meng Rui, 28 years old — known as the Azure Blade Constable, one of the Four Great Constables of Dashi. He bears a fierce bluish birthmark on his face and harbors a deep hatred for evil. On his back, he carries a blade named Death God, which he uses to strike down injustice across the land. His only weakness is his younger sister, who went missing when they were children.
2nd ML: Li Si, 29 years old — known as the Ghost Constable, another of the Four Great Constables of Dashi. His investigative style is bold and unpredictable, often uncovering the truth from angles others would never consider. He’s persistent and tenacious by nature.
Basically, both LYX and FYL could be a good fit for Li Si. But even if Li Si were changed to be the first male lead and Meng Rui became the second, it still doesn’t quite compute, unless they drastically alter these characters.

Could just be copium from fans who are disappointed with the Mei Ying Shen Bu rumors, but damn, that sci-fi historical one sounds interesting.
So looks like he is joining the crew somewhere this month.
So probably there is some truth behind this melon: https://weibo.com/7824190977/5162675525911660
They posted a vague explanation here, if you're curious (all in images): https://www.xiaohongshu.com/explore/68187c10000000002100a654?xsec_token=ABZeh0ZhRT65w1JxnPhk-pTSBFJV-MvhErYzOvQCcIWss=
It more or less reads as "I posted some ill-advised things, so I'm stepping down from this account. No hard feelings against LYX - still his fan."
