ummm... 60 eps would be so steamy and cannot be shown on broadcast lol

I was thinking they're using this 30 lashes scene in exchange of the 108 in the novel... but maybe not? because in one of the actors' interview, the ml mentions the 108 lashes scene... maybe this lashes thing is to justify fl forgiving ml so easily after the reveal--- or just so it's not exactly same as the novel... or they just want ml piggybacking ml scene again, to ignite nostalgia of their first meeting--- I've resigned to treating the drama as "loosely" based on the novel after General Tang's early death... maybe the first part is more similar, then later on, due to budget/time constraints (and creative choices) they deviated... but I want the epic war scenes!

she went solo on the bear, mostly, Yan Zheng wasn't there, Xie Wu might have been, or one of the Xies for sure--- she went anime OP on the bear lol it was a big hunting party, divided into smaller units of 5 or 10 maybe, they didn't go hunting for a bear, specifically but met one...technically, girlie saw a claw print and went, oh yum big prey

they skipped the bear hunting! I was looking forward to it lol but production wise, I guess it would have been too costly and time-consuming

well... in the webnovel, FCY hunted a whole ass bear before charging into the enemy and stealing provisions, so they've actually made an effort to make it more "fetched" lol it was implausible while I was reading it, but boy, I was really looking forward to how they'd do it in production, only to realize, that yup, it was skipped altogether

me too! I loved her fight scenes, we're more than halfway and it looks like her military era is coming soon, but I'm here wondering if we have enough episodes to do all the major scenes justice

the main villain, I would say, had more redeeming aspects, I've never read webnovels before, Zhuyu is the first that I've read, but boy, the villain(s) conspiracy was so intricate I had to reread a few chapters, and I'm keen on seeing how they'll reveal it in the drama without giving everyone a headache

the Lin An minions weren't in the webnovel yes, that is the biggest change I've seen so far--- each actor also brings charisma/flavor to their characters, QM being quite flavorful, as you've noticed lol

but after seeing Yan Zheng, whatever attraction became familial affection lol
