Really great / essential actor. Just wish his roles weren't always villain ones. His best roles are in Little Women, and Heart Surgeons. In both he shows an amazing range.

Football is full of cheating, lol. Lead with 1 goal and everybody suddenly falls over and is rolling in the grass in great pain. Maybe this line ("in football everything is, as it is") was meant to make us ponder on how everything is kind of murky and subject to interpretation. Even with cameras false or unreasonable decisions can be made. It's about the context too, meaning camera decisions shouldn't be crucial in winning championships. If "it all depends" is the message the drama ends up conveying (instead of "it's so if I say so"), then it does a good job.

Loved ep's 1-7, but the parents backstories are boring to me. I skipped most of ep's 9-11. Parents' stories could have been shorter flashbacks, with the main story with Frank still moving along, imo. Hope they come back to the present in ep 12.

Truth. My frustration with FL (Scarlett O'Hara) childish antics was big tbh. She's damn stupid and selfish and delusional. Also doing that to her best friend and tainting the relationship of her and her future husband is immoral as the ML pointed out. I don't remember when I've been so frustrated with a character but much of it is caused by the fact that I see zero reasons why the writer chose to make an adaptation of GWTW instead of writing entirely new characters.

It is an adaptation of Gone With the Wind. I don't care what others say or what the writer says officially, it's very clearly that if you have watched Gone With the Wind. But the historical events re. the qing invasion are mostly factual and well intertwined with the characters taken from GWTW.

Hate is babytalk and immediately reveals age and immaturity. Inability for expressing opinions.

"Hate" is babytalk which should be avoided if we're going to discuss seriously.. It is true there's a cultural difference, bc women in the west are typically stronger personalities and more independent and have their own careers. The infantilized submissive type of FL is difficult to relate to. I don't know whether cute and naive FLs should be kept to eternity, or is it time to fix that.

2 eps are too early days for me to make any judgments. I just love watching Rowoon. As for the FL, she's written sloppily to put it nicely. Typical cute and naive and needy and airhead. Glammed down to make her relatable - but for me it's just the opposite. Cute and naive FLs are not relatable to me. Why didn't she question why the wooden box was hers but just took it. I hope for a future when female actors are allowed to be just as flashy and beautiful as male actors. With respect, producers and actresses, you don't make a character more realistic with dull lifeless hair and granny hairdos. I am not hating the drama or actress but the TYPICALITY of the FL. This is not a fansite, so people are completety within their rights to express their opinions. Don't come here saying people who express reservations should drop the drama or quit this area. Just write your own opinion at your own line and leave it there. If you're not able to handle differing opinions, just don't read comments at all. I know many want to create a hyping movement where people can jump in, but it only lasts if the drama really is worth hyping. I hope this is.
