Hwang Min Hyun is still the same deer in the headlights as he was in the Alchemy of Souls. Flustered and clueless expressions suit this drama but I wish more talented actors were chosen for lead roles.
That's another fave drama stolen by Disney+ after Dr. Romantic. It's predatory behavior from Disney, robbing a fave series from the fans. I have no shame in watching it from an illegal streaming site, because Disney+ wouldn't make this available outside of APAC countries anyway. Def not interested in the rest of the Disney crap, only k-dramas.
I am not understanding you- what exactly was a copy-paste of events? Which part of the drama is incoherent? I…
The point of being in this site: you'll learn how reception differs from one person to another. Don't expect that you can dictate what others see or experience bc you can't. What you can do is create a buzz around a drama and unfortunately such buzz movements can uplift even very lacking dramas to Baeksang awards levels. I don't think the storytelling in My Dearest has been compelling so far, there's something severely lacking but then again I've only watched 400+ k-dramas. I'm not right or wrong in this opinion. I just find that there is smt lacking in My Dearest and not ready to say it's a masterpice, yet. It might be but not based on the first 4 episodes. I expect more in the continuation.
Pretty lousy 1st 2 weeks. Much not to the story n very typical main characters n almost all events. King's side…
I really think this needs to give more attention to the historical background. The focus on the characters and their relationship isn't enough. Moving Gone With the Wind to Joseon doesn't really make much sense to me. We all know the historical background when it comes to Gone With the Wind and that's an important part of the film. I expect My Dearest to get better if or when or if it gets distance from GWTW (after all this is 20 episodes). Bc the main thing that got my attention in the first 4 episodes was how NGM started waving his fan everytime he had a line. I hope the fan doesn't make a comeback since it's winter now.
I don't understand taking a dislike to well written realistic characters. Somehow it doesn't make sense to me. A drama needs characters. Characters that are pure black and white or simple caricatures rarely get much criticism. The same kind of criticism was made of the mother in Good Bad Mother when the whole point of the drama was that she was good and she was bad. Maybe people don't know the difference between fiction and reality, at least, that's how it comes across to me. Maybe character criticism means people try to figure out right and wrong behavior. In irl there are moral dilemmas everywhere and nobody's perfect. This thing with character criticism when a drama is exceptionally well written, is a big letdown to me. People be like: King The Land is pure cliche. Not Others: why can't this be pure cliche, we want a stereotypical romcom.
7.9 ???? Seriously???Some people surely don't understand comedy!!!!!
Comedy comes in different genres like music. If this were music, it would be trot. Unbearable to me, not a question of UNDERSTANDING. I hear trot, I turn off the volume. These are gut reactions.
1st 2 week it was copy-paste corny with some sense but now it has totally turned into typical mindless low quality…
very true. & expect to be slaughtered by the babies. Newcomers expect this to be a fansite. There's value in opinions though, I check out after initial impressions whether someone who watched further shared my impression.
I found this boring and draggy. The support characters were caricatures, so I started skipping everything with them early on. To me the humor was forced and the leads didn't get to shine. Didn't get emotionally attached to any of the characters. Now pls understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and experiences. Do not attack me or claim that my opinion should not be here. My preferences and sense of humour just weren't matched with this one. I also have my own history of viewing dramas and I already know that I only like characters I can empathize with.
I guess im the only one who got bored in this drama. Im maybe tired by the whole "cold male torturing the others-esp…

not really, only similarity is people voting if the person should be punished and okay, broadcast, everything…
The genre is similar so not completely different. I anticipate this is going to be great but the similarity to Devil Judge which is a masterpiece is something that cannot be denied.
