I can see that all the gossip rags like Allkpop, Kbizoom and Koreaboo are inciting the lynchmob to be as unforgiving and offensive as possible. They are publishing "comments from k-netizens", of course selecting most insane comments imaginable. That brings clicks.

But the sickness of exploiting celebrities and not respecting their privacy will take a huge toll on both the society and the actors.

Take the case of actor Kim Ji Soo. Kim Ji Soo is being blamed and ridiculed in SK for making a successful return to acting in the Philippines. Same story: SK "netizens" think Jisoo should not be forgiven.

But all of the allegations that ruined his career later turned out to be false. He was 12 years old when the alleged school bullying took place.

Jisoo's acting is unforgettable in many of the more arty projects I personally liked immensely such as Ping Pong Ball, Amanza, The Page Turner.

I've blocked all the cyberbullies in this page bc the wishes for KSH's death are frankly too scary and disturbing. I don't think that asking someone to die or be murdered is even legal. In fact it's supposed to bring a 2000 dollars punishment fine. But when there are too many posting death threats in various sites, it's impossible to keep things at bay. MDL doesn't even try.

I've been thinking the same. The underlying current of sex-negativity is definitely there. Will the new Victorians ever lead satisfactory lives when all they can do is sit at home searching for things and persons to cancel. I don't think this much anger could come from balanced lives.

I can't get past ep 4 with WLGYT. Despite several attempts I just can't. I don't really care if everyone else loves this. I also admit I'm that odd one who didn't see the greatness of Flower of Evil LOL. Although I love slife of life as much as crime and thriller. I'm mostly watching c-dramas rated around 7-7.9. Can't reach a higher rating bc the amount of viewers (around 1000 max). I actually didn't particularly like Hospital Playlist either and can't watch Reply series. I don't think it's a genre issue bs because I love Like Flowers in the Sand, Northward, and Meet Yourself, all slice of life. Maybe these things just can't be explained. But the current obsession with ratings is meaningless on the long run.

no romance

Highly recommended for friends of noir dramas. I like the idea that karma will get you in the end. The actors are all immensely good (but particularly Park Hae Soo). The plot twists are so intriguing I watched this during one evening. This is not full fledged black comedy unlike Killer Paradox or Family Matters. But just as bloody (I had to skip some parts as I'm not a friend of gore). 9/10

Things like this and much more is ignored. KSR previous 18 suicide attempts, her shotgun marriage in New York Jan 2025, her boyfriend saying things about the husband, her manager looking after her on a daily basis and paying hospital bills.

Everyone always has their own side and stakes from which they tell a story. Husband, boyfriend, mom, manager, KSH, Hoverlab, GM.

It's just not normal to claim to know the facts of the case.

Aren't you worried that you're ignoring things that actually are going on in the world ? and relying on a very dubious YouTuber who's making millions from this mess? People are murdered in Palestine, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon. Watching the public humiliation and lynching of one man is more important? Even if this case proves he's guilty, will that stop anything? And you're just as or even more guilty bc you're a ruthless cyberbully.

Sociopath: someone who doesn’t seem to take any consideration for other people's feelings or an understanding social norms. They lack an understanding of right and wrong no matter who gets hurt. Antisocial personality:

Not understanding the difference between right and wrong.
Not respecting the feelings and emotions of others.
Constant lying or deception.
Being callous.
Difficulty recognizing emotion.
Manipulation.
Arrogance.
Violating the rights of others through dishonest actions.
Impulsiveness.
Risk-taking.
Difficulty appreciating the negative aspects of their behavior.

I am not denying that KSH is a narcissist, most actors are. Sort of comes with the profession. He is not even denying it himself.

SK has bred a generation of bullies and sociopaths but luckily these rarely breed so there's light at end of a tunnel I guess.
