Crime & action drama that is not boring for a minute. I liked the fact that the police were as smart and insightful as the gang members in the cat and mouse game. Especially the veteran police chief actually calling the shots was satisfactory to me. Oftentimes the police bosses in crime dramas are just bullies and obstacles. But overall this drama is lacking in character depth. The first half is more interesting than the 2nd half. Lots of new antagonists appear out of nowhere as older ones are killed off at a steady pace. A high body count in this one. WZQ acting range is great. But lots of screentime with close up shots are dedicated to Fei for reasons known only to the director. The character was not interesting at all and almost became the main character. I wouldn't whoheartedly recommend this but if you're longing for action and adventure you definitely will be entertained.
FLs "dumb but cute" act irritates the hell out me. No way can a teacher be this retarded. She's redoing her role The Secret Life of My Secretary, coming across just a little bit less mentally challenged. She was much better in My Perfect Stranger. I want to see her as the villain or victim in her next drama or I won't be able to watch her anymore.
Awesome drama. Completely unique and unpredictable. Unreliable storytelling at its finest. There are so many twists and turns that it just takes your breath away. Deep, touching and playful at the same time. No matter how experienced a noir drama watcher you are, this drama will outwit you for sure! Cinematography, acting, directing, pacing, everything is perfect. A masterpiece. Do not miss this gem!
Don't miss The Embers! My recs for friends of noir are: The Embers Black Out Begins Youth Escape From the Trilateral Slopes.
Meet Yourself and To The Wonder are not noir dramas as such (Meet Yourself is the least stressful drama ever made!) Other noir recs here: https://kisskh.at/list/Lp6QvXR4
The charms of this drama are quite unique and difficult even to describe. The undercurrent of gentle humor is priceless. Characters are all ordinary and very sympathetic. The fall of the steel factory which affects is wellbeing of the whole town is the backbone carrying the drama. There is not much in terms of suspense or action. The murder mystery unravels slowly but intensity increases towards the end as dark incidents from the past come into light. Excellent drama.
Does anyone know what those flowers mean at the end of story??? Or is it just nothing?
I can think of 2 possible things: 1) The poppy fields mean she found happiness in life. Zhi Bai's 2 friends ended up working in poppy fields too. 2) It could have been a hint that Zhi Bai wasn't dead after all. But I think they just played with us with that ending. This drama outwitted me for sure and maybe the ending was just playful reminder of that.
I don't think Kang Full is to blame here but the writer and director.
I didn't like Moving at all but I did really like the Light Shop. I can't share in the enthusiasm around KF universe (not being a webtoon reader). So I just take in these dramas as dramas knowing nothing about the original source which I guess is important background for fans.
I would not recommend this one. There are so much better crime and police c-dramas out there. The characters are superficial and there's isn't anything really touching about the cases. Which are too easily solved. They put very little effort in developing the plot. The whole idea of the drama is female centeredness. To portray sismance and female cops as the heroes. For me that's pretty irrelevant as a starting point. 6/10
An entertaining drama. But don't expect suspense, the word "affairs" is the key. This would have been better if it had been only 12 episodes long. Some big plotholes but mostly I enjoyed it. 8/10
as a part of group of people who find the drama boring, i’ll explain what is the problem.it’s not the story…
we have already learned the lesson of how not to misuse statistics. I'm almost curious to see how many times they'll run that same scene. And the rooftop plants, so interesting (irony here). I don't think I can continue with this since Viki doesn't allow putting on accelerated speed.
