If you're wondering what else to watch, Secret Royal Inspector & Joy has more humour and they are "on the road" aka outside of the palace 90 percent of the time.

I've watched so many sageuks that I get really bored with the palace plotting. If the crown prince had gotten out of the palace entirely and gone missing in the countryside and in the wild this would have been so much fresher. Now dropping at ep 4, will be coming back here to see how it went with the plot. 20 episodes seems too much.

Completely agree. JJH is a fantastic actress and comedian, KJW has the same stony expression all the time.

I agree, there was nothing likeable about Hae In. And I'd have preferred it if KJW had shown some softer sides of her, more character development. But she was just stonefaced and uppity/condescending all the time. It seems we're not supposed to say these things, however KJW is nowhere near the level that KSH is. If this was real life, as a couple they'd be doomed bc a relationship can't be all about about chemistry.

In the middle of ep 11 I'm just hoping they all die and Jin Woo raises the kid. Glad it'll be over today. If you're considering whether to watch, it's a strongish no (unless you really enjoyed Marry My Husband or My Happy Ending; this is another thriller that turned out to be just another crazy makjang with psycho characters). 6/10

Yes those things were off, but the humour is spot on and I was surprised that I enjoyed watching it so much more than many of more recent dramas.

Overall a good surprise to me. A very entertaining action comedy detective drama. The humor was very good. The pacing also, I didn't feel bored or skip anything. Only the last 2 episodes felt irritating for some reason, probably bc the individual murder cases were less stressful or bc FLs overly emotional reactions. I didn't particularly like the acting of either of the leads (FL haircut and eyebrows...damn). But the good writing and plot overran those things. 8.5/10.

Flex X Cop is very entertaining

I made 2 efforts to watch Alive, the latter bc of sympathy towards Yoo Ah In, but couldn't make it past the first 15 mins.

One episode is almost always enough to judge whether to stream or drop, and when a drama is as messy as this, half an hour is enough to see whether its watchable. I tend to make decisions based on first 20 mins so 30 mins means giving a drama a good chance. My decisions to drop have always been right for me, since I tend to check the reviews afterwards to see whether they are in line with my first impressions. Sometimes first episodes in k-dramas are just introductions to characters and can be boring, but it is already clear to the viewer that when the drama starts from childhood that the first episodes are introductory. Goodbye Earth's first episode felt like I was starting to watch a drama from episode 6 and had no clue what had been going on in the first 5 episodes.

There's no rule that you have to watch a drama in its entirely before rating. A crappy drama does not merit watching but you'd want to leave a sign that it was in your judgment a crappy drama, no?

And another thing, the drama doesn't really work as you can see in most of the reviews. If it had been a really good drama then I'd rate it accordingly. 1/10 is my honest judgment of the drama in itself also.

Dropped after 30 mins. There was no story, no characters, to keep me interested. Also the timeline was messy. When veteran actors make a too obvious big effort to come across fully fleshed out characters when they aren't, I can already see the whole thing is a failure. The editing is terrible but I doubt that this would have been watchable for me even in its original form. And yes I do punishment ratings bc I don't support SK's merciless cancel culture, hence 1/10.

Catch the Ghost. It's funny, similar to Flex X Cop.
