okay so hear me out I think all the people who are supporting Ha Na and CP as well as those who are against them…
If it was historically accurate, there would be zero possibility that the crown prince would marry someone older than him and someone from a poor family and someone who has no father. It is not accurate. She might be taken as a concubine but the palace is looking for a crown princess and future queen. The choice is made through a multiphase selection process in which only daughters of the highest ranked nobility can enter.

The cinematographer and director are making beautiful cinematography with almost painting like qualities in some scenes. However, in such a lighthearted drama, it is out of place. Or, I feel they ignore that this kind of drama should give a deeper insight into the characters. Especially Rowoon is kind of more stereotyped than someone we could feel affinity to. Rowoon is a much better actor than he gets to show in this drama.

I decided that if I chose to feel enraged about the CP and Hana 's age difference when nth untoward has happened…

I did. Bo Geol also was very cold and indifferent towards Mak Ha in the first episodes, which made him unlikeable.…
as they say, first impressions are everything. Yes there were hints but I already didn't relate to his characters bc coldness. Woo Hak was steadily warm and open hearted and I liked him more. Also burying Chae Jong Hyeop under an awful floor mop hair was getting on my nerves all the time since he's an excellent actor who deserves better aka face and eyes should never ever be hidden.

with how they'd showed sangdo in ep2 i thought he'd be an asshole type of character, but i'm SO happy to be surprised!…
me too, got the villain vibes at first. He was the villain in The Day of Kidnapping and Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist. Hope he's not the bad guy in this one.

Am I the only one who liked the SML better?
I did. Bo Geol also was very cold and indifferent towards Mak Ha in the first episodes, which made him unlikeable. It was also deceiving the viewer (too much, imo)

It's a fun drama, but I'm not really invested in the story of the second lead couple. I feel like I'm watching…
agreed, we don't really need the second couple. They're too standard.

Excellent drama compendium. Absurd but thoughtprovoking stories are perhaps not everyone, but anyone who likes Black Mirror will def like this. The pacing and acting are top notch. Most of the ministories didn't get closure, but I didn't think that was even necessary. In this kind of thing "what really happened" is not the point, it's all about stirring up curiosity and wonderment. I'd gladly watch another season.

Title Devilish Joy
The first 2 episodes were good. Then it started slowly going downhill. Would have been much better with only 12 episodes. The last 4 were really boring and just too predictable. Lots of music and staring into the air with nothing happening.

so my head literally felt like spinning when oraboni bent on his knee to propose to her. did that a sign that…
that was a very good scene. I want similar ones between our mains. Them discussing their feelings as excitedly as about a shopping list.

Best to watch with zero expectations. It's quite entertaining and not too gore. Nothing makes sense about the game and I wouldn't be surprised if the ending won't provide answers.

Lee Se Young is just brilliant in this. She's comedy gold. Watching for her, don't really care about the family heritage fighting plot. It's dreary to watch unpleasant people and Jin Kyung always has these bitchy roles that she could do whilst asleep. I find Bae in Hyuk bland and dry, sorry. I liked him in Kiss Goblin but he's just as bland and dry in At a Distance the Spring is Green. I guess he's supposed to be sickly, cold and serious but. I hope this gets better.

Acting is over the top aka amateurish across the board. Director's choice obviously. I don't really believe this…
I thought the tone and acting was similar to When the Camellia Blooms and after checking, that's indeed the same director. Acting like this is very much directed to the domestic weekend drama audience. Writer has The Sound of Your Heart under her belt, not my type of humor really.
