it's almost like a slice of a life show.
the love story between two childhood neighbours as awesome all through the show. up until episode 23 the romance is unconscious from both female and the male leads. although there was a third wheel it never manifested into a triangle, so yeah that that was a good decision on the writer's part.
but yeah I think post episode 23 the romance or the emotions in the show didn't really have enough time to sink in. it felt to rushed - this sub plots of other characters in the neighbourhood, the ML- FL getting together, their romance, then the Agony of separation and then the reunion. I feel like this is because the show tried to capture a very large time frame into just 8 episodes.
the first 23 episodes the characters the emotions the neighbourhood just hit the mark, if only the show had been like 40 or 46 episode probably they would have had good amount of time in the second half to cover the on the emotions of the characters in the show.

for these reasons I would rate it at 7.5, if the second half had just a little more time, I would read it at 9. but still the show is a good slice of life show.

Story is good, screenplay is also flawless but it falls short on the acting part..

i am happy that this show had a happy ending.

It Got better post episode 19, the first 18 episodes literally could have been condensed into 10 episodes, they more like felt filler episodes.

i was really hoping for a subplot of romance story between LDW & XJ. probably in the scope for Season 2. now that SML is back there is also possibility for triangle which i wish will not there..

hey I am coming from 'who rules the world' & 'love like the galaxy', so I felt he fell short to give out that majestic emperyal feel. I don't have any pref.

personal opinion: emperyan xau xang should have been played by a different actor.

initially I was so skeptic about picking up the show but boy O boy, the show is just splendid.
although there is nothing jaw dropping about the story, the fact that I didn't press fast forward in any of the episodes of the entire show means this show killed it.
love the characters and I think the actors just smoothly dived into their characters and made them look alive.

I think there is a season 2 in the books and I hope they will bring the season 2 as soon as possible before people lose interest in the show.

This show is such a drag with a depressing self-doubting crown-prince and a loud, obnoxious, over dramatic maid of the FL,

After the anguishing long 75 episodes, neither of the leads(M & F) have had a happy romance or ending.
the show ended with the story back to square one. Leads separated and are played in by the prophecy.

So unless the writers and the show producers intent for the show is to show that storm of prophecy is something you cannot defy, it will need another season to close the open story and pacify the audience.

OK I Completed Binging this show.
I liked it, but felt slow & long.

The Female Characters/actresses that i fell in love with are
'Jin Zhu Hai' (Rayzha Alimjan)
'Muyun Yan Shuang' (Karlina Zhang)

I recently started it and on episode 18.
wow it's good, on par with arthdal chronicles & GOT.

but dude i wish they kept 'Jin Zhu Hai' (Rayzha Alimjan) alive, hers is the only Female character that sofar has some strength to it. and Boy O Boy she is the beautiful actress in the show so far.

By the way the story line is pretty close to American show ER.

I somehow managed to skim through the last 6 episodes without subtitles. hurray me.

Anyone watching or planning to watch this show, please stop at ep 33 or better yet at ep 30.

the writers definitely have gone crazy with all the tumors in their brains.

The Dumbest male Lead character i have ever seen. he is dumb and muddle-head all through the show. what's the use of all the valour & vigour when you are dumb and being played by people around you all through the show. it's frustrating to see such lead character.

hhmmm, the show is awesome so far, screenplay, comedy, chemistry, acting,....
VFX are superb too..

There is a possibility though being as freespirited as she is, at the end her character will not want to be locked away in the castle with restrictions, unless the king makes some amendments to the norms.

FL forcing the ML who is just out of amnesia to hold a scalpel with blatant disregard for the patient's safety. but then again this action brings DJW back to life which will drive the rest of the episodes majorly around two souls in one body.

ML's acting is just superb, the self-obsessed monologues he delivers, ppphhheeewww...

FL's character is just annoying, her character is 10 yr experienced doctor longing for recognition & acceptance in the medical world, yet she is loud, obnoxious, dumb all the way.

it was chaos right from 1st min and stayed that way all through.
the dumbest Lead character that i have ever viewed on screen. no foresight, nothing whatsoever, only dumb actions head-o like a bonehead..

ML Acting is alright. the rest of the characters didn't have much to act.

I am at-least rating it 6 for the little bit comedy it has.
