the most spoilt character in the entire show is "Ren Xin Zheng", the crux of the show that him doing anything for TCM is a fallacy. this character is so selfish, he keeps forcefully taking everything from everyone around him for his own self interests and fame. he is the most incompetent character of the show. he can keep playing a self proclaimed saint only because of the efforts of people around him.

Take a chill pill, didn't reveal anything in the comment that would deem it a spoiler. as to asking not watch it, it's an opinion based on how i felt after watching it. there are a lot of us out there who expect a warning before picking a tragic story to watch. because it definitely leaves a footprint on our mind for the next few day after watching and some of us might not be in that state of mind looking to experience those emotions.

The Story is unfolding well, there are no holes as everyone is saying. This is a plot that will sit well for a movie but in order to fit it in a 12 episode show there is a little drag in between. I just hope the family has a happy ending.
This Drama is so well-written. story, screenplay, direction, acting, cinematography all fall in place so well. i just don't get it how this still has the rating under 8.5. Love ML & FL's Steadfast romance. hope it will continue to stay that way in the last 4 episodes. As a viewer i am so hoping that ML would get happy ending atleast for once.

As per me there is one more lead apart from He-XingFu that is the lawyer Gaun-Tao. they should have been the couple of the show. both the characters just deserve each other.
I so much hoped that FL's marriage to the wimpy husband character would break after the Husband's family completely disregarded the sexual harassment on FL's sister as just a age old regular wedding hazing. this break would have paved the way for FL and Gaun-Tao to be a couple. the story could still have been the same except for needing some changes in terms of relations between characters. but instead writers went in the direction to stick with the married couple.
This is slice of Life Type Show. Trust me the first episode starts on a bad note and might scare you off but it sets the tone of the Lead Character and the show. so i suggest stick with it. beautiful story telling.
Yet another Asian show being cruel to ML. ML was in agony and angst in all 24 episodes. and in the end nothing fruitful to his character. But I have to say even with crappy story, romance and patriotism, the screenplay still managed to make me frustrated till the end. I honestly binged this in skip mode because of the angst.
OK this show had an agenda for sure. how close it is to reality is something only the chinese will know. True that you will have to force yourself to sit-through the show if you are a non chinese, i doubt it would be also be the case for even the chinese. anyways except for the chapter-1, the show had nothing very interesting be it story, romance, characters. And ya the subtitles are cyphered so it takes some getting used to understand.
of all the Leads, Zhao lu si & Neo Wu got the better end of the deal in terms of great characters to flex and show thier acting skills.
I just love watching zhao lu si on screen, which is what made me end up starting this show.
