...it just made me want to cry that.... junmo did all that for her but she chose.... gi chul at last....he even…
actually YEJ didn't choose JKC, the last cemetery scene where you find a bouquet wrapped with that necklace is her saying goodbye to him. And Also Her trying to steer YEJ away from crime life is not out of love for him but for compassion and Dragging Junmo out of the abyss he is stuck in but it backfired.
and Junmo made a choice of sacrificing his love and help YEJ not live in guilt by shooting JKC instead of letting him blow his own brains in front of her.
JKC lost everything in the quest to be accepted by YEJ family.
But if there ever is a S2 i bet they will find their way back to each other.
the story-telling(screenplay) is awesome and it's complemented by ji-chang-wook's brilliant acting. the lead actress too did a good job, but her character actually created the mess with unwarranted interference despite the lead's plea.....
although episode 12 felt a bit rushed, it leaves you wanting more of park-junmo's life {JCW}. Hope there is a sequel to this one. Would love to see what will happen to the broken relationship and potential direction the JCW's character can take from this point on.
It's a feel good show, from 10th min to the end. writer, Director & actors did a great job in building up the anticipation of Leads meeting finally until episode 12. episode 13 is my favorite it was funny and it's when the anticipation built up got a closure. i am leaving the rating at 8 since i FFed some of the show because of other characters and plot.
Every time when a show ends with a leading couple not ending up together with so many hurdles, it pisses me off. hoping there would a second part with proper closure.
The Side Characters took and ate a lot of screen time which was unnecessary. instead the show could have had more of the main couple dealing with a lot of stuff to get to each other.
Also the end confession at an award ceremony seemed completely off the place and inorganic.
Thank you others for not making feel alone in feeling so annoyed with the sister character, i would definitely bring her back to reality even with a couple of smacks if needed.
and dude Mr. Fang should get the hint by now. with such a dumb A** reason about being miserable together and guiding her, such BS, . What the F****.
SY is so dumb, so dumb i can't even express, knowing how it went the last time JB met his parents, he still brought her to the lunch without clarifying to his parents about his interest in pursuing her. Dude Common.
Usually so far in the shows i have seen it's the other way around - FLs act immature but it's the opposite in this one.
I totally agree Where FL's mind is at with the marriage she just wrapped up and her interest in a young guy which everyone around is opposing in a way citing the age gap unlike the other shows i have seen so far.
I am liking the FL character in this one, atleast she is not oblivious and creating the routine drama.
sarcastic comment bc I can't help it: 'They made this bc the regretted not casting Yang Yang in 'You are my hero',…
Na, i disagree.
"you are my hero" is on a complete different spectrum from a romance angle. there was no opposition from families. it's just that in YAMH there were constant reminders on either side about the each other's professions and schedule mishap to stay together other than that it was more of pure mature romantic story where ML and FL had to figure out their love for each other in the midst of their career progress.
but here it was more rich family doing everything in it's power to keep them apart and on top of it we had a timid FL for two thirds of the show.
The show ended on a happy note. everybody got their pairings and happy endings. rigid elders ended up flexible after few hard hitting realizations. All in all, show picks up from episode 20, u can say 2nd half was a delight to watch. 1st half could have been condensed into 10 episode making it less draggy.
I am happy it ended on a happy note. lifted my spirits and mood up when i was in need of it.
is it just me or did anyone else also pick up on this, in ep 10 at the last while ML is leaving, FL on the cliff is not wearing hair up like a married woman but down as a maiden as per the times customs

Interesting storyline, but the worst supercop ever, and the super cop is a dud cop, neither does the character - pay attention to surroundings in a pursuit of criminals / evidence. - nor does cover his tracks to protect his investigation / evidence. - nor does he take the direction of rooting out the leaks in his own department. - nor is he smarter than the jr cop that was assigned under him by another secret task force to control him rather than aid him. - nor i he able to protect his love interest
this show is totally bonkers and frustrating because the character that sets the expectations high in the first two episodes keeps letting down those expectations all through the show.
even though the show didn't finish the budding love story, you will end up rooting for them in your imagination.
Hoping for a S2, i would love to watch what & how it unravels after.
looking forward to start watching this.

meanwhile the characters of the third younger sister and the friend working in the same office as KKS are what actually steer the show.

your review is on par with the show.
the show started to take off now, hope it remains upward trajectory.
