Definitely. They have worked together as panelist for Heart Signal 3 before the drama so they're much more comfortable with each other because of that. It's good when co-stars have rapport prior to their drama. Makes filming much more easier.

In the novel, the heavenly emperor was a nice and funny guy. He made Chu Kong and Xiangyun go through 7 lifetimes of tribulations in the mortal realm bc he was into rom-com novels. He took joy (in a good way) in their mortal love stories. I am not sure about the drama though.

I won't deny that I also found the first 6 episodes quite hard to watch and finish. They deviated so much from the original story, which is fine for them to make it fit into a 38 episodes drama but I am not really a fan of a lot of the things they added to the story. Like the second leads? No such thing in the novel. The difference in their positions + past together? So different. I loved the slow burn romance from the novel and how their relationship progressed. In the novel, they hated each other so much in the beginning and were always bickering and would play tricks on each other when they had to jump down to the moral realm. Because they had to experience love in the mortal realm, that really helped them learn to love and rely on each other. Even when they returned to the heavenly realm, they would act as if they still hated each other but secretly liked and cared for one another. The first lifetime in the novel is what makes his actions in the later lifetimes so much more adorable, bc you can relate his actions to the first lifetime. The first lifetime is the reason why he had so much love for her as they experienced more lifetimes together. Anyways, regarding the drama. I think the route it's going fits for a drama style but I would have loved it so much more if they did not deviate so far out from the original too. I had a lot of expectations so that is definitely my fault. I truly think the drama is beautiful despite the weird transitions, and the leads are doing great. Ryan looks so good in blue, I swear. lol The drama is still pretty enjoyable so far, so I am excited to see what's to come for the rest of the drama.

I hate to compare it to the novel, but personally, I prefer the novel a lot more. Maybe it's bc it's one of my fav c-novels for many years now. I think the novel storyline, lifetime order, and their relationship progress in the novel was a lot better. I prefer Xiangyun's character in the novel much more too. Don't get me wrong. The drama is still enjoyable in its own way if you look at it as a stand alone. I'll still watch the drama as I have been waiting so long for it to air.

Those that are saying the drama is similar to LBFAD ---- it's similar because both are shared universe, director/production team, and written by the same author.

I'm gonna need like 3-4 business days to digest the ending, and to give YOUKU another chance to redeem themselves. I still cannot believe they cut out so many good scenes. They better offer us those scenes somehow, even if it means taking money out of my pocket. lool

Despite the open ending, the drama was very good overall. I know it sucks that the ending wasn't a satisfying one for many of us but we shouldn't disregard how good the drama was from beginning to ...well, before the end. LOL Despite the open ending, we all know it's an ending with hope. Let's all just wish and hope Youku will be nice and pacify us with a special episode or something bc this is unacceptable. HAHAH. I'm gonna go cry my eyes out now bc my 有琴 and 夜谭 deserved better than this, esp 夜谭 (and 青葵, the sisters).

Okay, yes we know the production sucked for what they did but atp, get over it. The main cast has already been chosen and filming has started. LYT already has great opportunities in line for her after this incident. Just let it be at this point. Nothing is going to change anymore. XF is a good actress but she still has a lot to improve on as her acting has not really been any different or better for the past dramas she have been in.

It doesn't always have to be "love" just because it's between a man and a woman. You can feel other types of feelings toward someone. Even if it's love, it's not always the intimate form of "love" but rather a friendly/sibling type of love.

I think at this point, if anyone is going to take down the bad people, it’s going to be the bad people themselves. lol Why? Because they’re all literally backstabbing one another. I bet if one of them goes down, they’re gonna make all those involved goes down with them too.

Today’s episode was pretty interesting. Before I get to the main leads, I just wanna point out that I felt really bad for You Gang, Shi Sheng Yu, and her mom. Their scene, as much as I do not like the mom or them as much, it was a pretty sad scene. I get that mothers do not want to hear their own child tell them they’re the reason for the downfall of the children’s marriage. But the daughter was not wrong either since it is because of the mom that’s why a lot of problems of arose in their marriage. The mom thought she did what was best for them, but they did not see it that way. They were all wrong and right in their own ways. Hoping the best for the couple & their ending tho. They’ve been helpful to our FL and redeemed themselves.

As for our leads, man. They were so cute and funny but also gives me a headache. I miss just having scenes of them but it’s gucci. I just want them to get to reveal everything now bc we clearly only have 3 episodes left. On a side now, i just love how RZZ is always calling ML out and he just shuts up most of the time. LOL It was nice to see him have to get a taste of his own medicine when she called out his double standard and hung up on him. lol everyone that keeps talking about how they think the drama is gonna have a bad ending. I’m 100% positive it’s a happy ending. I just know it. Hahha I hope I’m not the only one that thinks that’s way. Excited for tomorrow’s one episode tho!

Oh, and I really don’t think there was anything between ARY and TST whether in the past or present. I think he just felt reliable and responsible for them bc of what happened, nothing more than that. It’s more of a “I owe them” type of relation, no strings attached or anything. Or maybe he could have saw her more of like a sister-type, idk. I hope this is the end of it between him and that family tho. lol

Yea,I was def confused on the part where Su Wen said to RZZ on the bed that she watched the surveillance video and saw that TST’s name is Tan Shen. And then the next day we see RZZ & TST still lying about him being GJ. Not sure if they caught the mistake but that was a bit confusing. Unless the translation was just off? Anyways, I just remembered that the study room still has the surveillance camera since ML only took the one in the living room out. Dang? Why are all true characters in this drama so shady?! LOL Anyways, I loved how domestic episode 31 was. Need more domestic moments of the two. And I def miss seeing our ML in suits. It’s been a while. :(

I get that ML can be a bit too much towards FL sometimes but I can see that he's slowly changing himself in today's episodes after she voiced to him that he always makes all the decisions and never ask her. He's always been the dominant one in his circle, always the one to make all the calls so it's nice to see that he's slowly trying to let her be the one to make the decision. The tension between the leads at the dinner table was pretty intense. I really liked how it was all played out. They jumped right to the point. lol And RZZ always throws me off with her reaction after something. In a good way though. Like, I did not expect her to be like, "let's work together" after all that tension hahahah And the best scene was probably the pj scene like many of yall mentioned. It was so cute and loved how it's showing more of his character as Tan Si Tiao and not Gao Jun lol But excited for tomorrow's episodes. Also, absolutely hate yiyi. That girl keeps adding fuel to the fire. Good actress though but dang, her character is sooo annoying.

I think what people see as smart is and can be subjective. What you may see as a smart action or something said verbally may not be seen as smart to another person. We all view things differently.

So looking at the real GJ's ID card and Tan Si Tiao/Tan Shen's ID, our ML is a year older at 1984 while the real GJ is 1985. They're all in their mid-late thirties. I wonder if they really did go to school together or not. Like, if they did then maybe our ML was the class before theirs. I can't remember if XYN and RZZ are the same age or not.
